The bottom line wrt to vaping, is that compared to smoking, vaping is 90% safer than smoking. For those that can't quit on their own, it is a safer solution. Think of all the opiate addicts out there. Dr say that nicotine is more addictive than heroine, which is true but, inaccurate. Nicotine in itself is only mildly addictive, the chemical cocktail they call tobacco these days OTOH is what makes tobacco highly addictive. Fact!

Their report was laced with "we think" or "it may", there was no absolutes, and for the most part was conjecture. I was a smoker since my teens, I quit last year cold turkey, I needed nothing more than the action to do so. Vaping is a crutch, not a means to quit, just a reason to continue to have nicotine in their system. Both mental and physical aspects of addiction are present. I started smoking in the seventies, where tobacco tasted like tobacco. Not the shit that is cigarettes today. Not only is it shit, it is 1K more addictive <--- done on purpose.

It doesn't work, so you go back to smoking, until you try to quit again, and the hamster wheel resume its course. I smoked for 41 yrs. Did it all and have not combusted since 2010. In the beginning we didn't know much. One of the side effects of vaping, is that the majority of vapers no longer have colds, which I always used to get a couple a year. We thought is was in our heads, but it wasn't as more and more folks admitted, coming to think of it...
In 2013 NS was the 1st province to try and ban vaping. It failed! During a town hall put on by the Nova Scotia Lung Association, although they were against vaping at the start of the town hall, the president closed the meeting saying...
"We need to embrace vaping for what it is, THR (tobacco harm reduction). Albeit total abstinence is highly recommended, we need to embrace any solution that reduces harm.
