Yah, lookin' great in here. I requested those GKxBS2.2 freebies to no avail. Another opportunity on ICMag to live vicariously through the work of someone far more talented than I. :D

Awesome setup and beautiful ladies! I cant wait to see them full of buds.

appreciate bterzz. i will take some pics at the two week mark... noticed they started flowering today. hope my damn clones rooted

i have to add the fan speed controller tomorrow for the veg room exhaust and my co2 gear should be here any minute. cant wait to throw that in and watch the ladies take off. i will probably do a little trimming of the lower branches this week too so they can focus on bud production where it counts ;)~

thanks sinatra, swampy.

swampy,
the room is framed with 2x4's, insulated with r13 on the floor and walls and has 2x6s for the ceiling, insulated with r19. the outer walls are sheeted with osb, the inner with a sound absorption sheet then osb. floor and ceiling as well inside. every seam was caulked, even the screw/nail heads... i'm anal. lol. the door is an exterior door with rubber weather stripping on the frame and the door for a super tight seal. the walls are then poly'd over. the heat pump installed should have an easier time cooling/heating since everything is tight and insulated. c02 levels should stay nice as well when the burner is installed this week. hope that helps! i can dig up pictures and post them if people are interested.

hey phil.

so i have been reading up a little on insulation, and i have figured out the the r13 and r19 stand for different levels of insulation. How did you choose which levels to use?

Also, i want to make sure i have your room pictured in my head properly, because I am going to borrow its design. So its basically a Framed box right? Like in a basement or somewhere else, but it is a framed box?

If it is a framed box, did you build it with 16" spaces between the studs? What spacing did you use for the braces in the floor and ceiling?

What do you mean by "Floor and ceiling has a well in it"?

Thanks for putting your setup up here, it has given me inspiration : )

sinatra,

I meant the floor and ceiling have the sound absorption sheet then osb as well. sorry for not being clear. yes i did use 16in stud spacing all the way around... the r13 was used in the walls and floor where the 2x4's were used. the r19 was used on the ceiling between the 2x6's as it is thicker insulation as the ceiling is subject to some cold air at times. here are some pics to help

uhh that was awesome, cleared a lot up in my head for sure. I went to home depot with my dad today and he is going to help me with the framing and all that. Its really cool to have a dad who is in to building shit ahahha

I live in CO and this box is going to be in my basement, it looks like yours is in a garage or something. Is there an advantage to using the insulation in a basement? i am going to have 4kw of air cooled light in a 10 x 10 room with a 12,000 btu window AC unit.

The basment is already pretty cold just from being underground, but i am guessing i should add insulation so i have more consistent CGE right?

girls looking mighty purty

insulation will help make the ac run more efficient but if you are air cooling the lights i dont think it would be much of an issue unless it gets real cold in winter or something.
