Thanks Blaze... it's a Freidrich and I think it was $1100. I will dig up the link.
luaith, cfunk, I appreciate the kind words. Thanks!
Today I transplanted into 3 gal bags. Got a good sunburn on my back doing it to! I also threw in a new dehuey into the flower spot.
Moved my 8 bulb flouro setup and installed it in the veg spot along with a 400w MH in a Super Sun 2 hood, SS10 ballast. Set up the timer for them as well. Waiting on a 6in Vortex and then I can complete the ductwork. Basically the rooms are connected so I will suck air from the flower room with the AC into the veg spot then exhaust it back into the flower room. Should work to keep the temps roughly the same. If it is a few degrees warmer in the veg spot, I wont mind.
I need to find a closet (tired of building...lol) to throw into the veg area to hang the chopped goodness. This way it stays cool, dark, and the scrubber can care for the odor.
Other then that, all is going good, plants have grown a bunch since I took clones. Hope to have pics tomorrow!
Oh, also started 10 Grape Krush x Blue Satellite 2.2 beans All 10 are pokin' out and standing tall at the moment.
Ok, installed the 6 inch Vortex for a test run... basically with the poly zippered between the two rooms the fan wants to rip it clear off the veg side...lol. Still have some caulking and sealing to do to the duct work so I hope that eliminates that or most of it at least. Good news is the temp is consistent between the two rooms within a degree. 1000w in the flower side and 400+ flouro on the veg side. I need to build a shelf to hold the MH ballast for the veg room. Things are coming along well and I should have most of the ducting done tonight. I will snap a few pics of it all when I am done. I need to devise a light trap method to keep light from veg from leaking through duct work into flower. I have sprayed the insides of the ducts with flat black paint and I am using elbows, most at 90 degree. Any thoughts?
Not quite complete yet but I did promise pics. Plants are a few days from going into flower and I have to cure two small light leaks before that. The leaks are between the two rooms. The poly zippers (why do they have transparent blue in the design instead of opaque black?) and the one duct without a fan both have a slight bit of light coming through. Any way... on with the pics...
New veg area...
Excuse the mess but I needed somewhere to put the cords for now )
A peek from veg to flower. Double poly doors with staggered zippers (still leaks light)
From flower room looking back towards veg.
Shot of the new dehuey and the vent that sucks the cool AC air from flower into the veg spot via the new 6in Vortex.
The new Vortex sitting in the flower room sucking the warm air from above the lights in veg.
Placed the 9 OG Kush bitches in flower this evening. Moved them under the HPS where they will stay for about 35 days or so then back under the MH to finish.
GK x BS2.2 seedlings are coming along well. Looks like I have one slow starter but the rest have got a new set of leaves already. They will stay in FFLW for another week or so then into soil.
Left to do:
Run drain hose for dehumidifier.
Run water hose into flower room.
Get a speed controller for the 6 in Vortex.
Finally receive shipment of the Sentinel CPPM-1 and VCG-6 I ordered and install.
marlo, i would expect 2x plus. it will be pushing it in my room. i will measure the plants tomorrow but they are all over 3 foot tall with pot. so i dont know... 9 plants with over 9 weeks to veg... whatcha think I should yield of these stinkies?h
Ran watering hose into room and also got the dehumidifier drain hose run out. Double weather stripped the main door because I found some light peeking in last night. Room is sealed tighter then a frogs ass now. Plants spent their first full day in flower. Temps are 74 -76 degrees with 45% humidity. When my CO2 generator and controller finally show up I will boost temps a bit. I will be moving the seedlings and clones into the veg room tomorrow.
It's been fun building a new spot now lets see what it will yield Pics to follow tomorrow... I am beat.
