That's not good if customers are giving him a bad review for what ever reason. If the bad outweighs the good that says a lot. You said it yourself after reading so many bad reviews you had to give a good 1. 1 out of 5 is not good.

Very nice huge. Someday might do a room like that but all LEC. Maybe by the time I can LED might have advanced enough to use. I spoke to GH phantoms wont be in there warehouse until 5/14..

He had bad reviews because of shipping issues. Those have been resolved. Philips set up a distributor to handle it for him so he can focus on quality and customer service. My order was processed and shipped in less than 24 hrs, and delivered in well under a week.

Since I'm swimming in veg plants with no room to flower them for a long time. I took all my overflow 3' and larger moved them all into the 5x5 tent with the 630, 9 plants total. . I will attempt to flower these where they are. Swapped out the bulbs to 930's and changed the timer Starting tomorrow. Will be a good test for the 630 for sure. I had 1 of my 10" inline's blowing cool air into the tent door open before I switched to flower the temps where 83f. I flipped the fan to extract the air the temps went to 78f with the door closed this surprised me. Daytime temps are starting to get HOT so will do 7pm-7am. I can still keep the lights on a 18/6 for the others in that room.

Hey guys, been using the 315 cmh for a while now off the genuine philips ballasts. I just saw an infographic on the cyclops page that says the philips ballast shouldn't be more than 6 ft from the bulb, but their other brand of ballast made in germany claims 25ft striking distance. I've been using them with probably a 15 ft cord set and wondering if anyone has had issues doing the same thing? i'm now thinking i should move my ballast to be on top of the reflector and just extend the power.

On a different note, are people still using the mogul based bulb? That's all i have an i have been very happy but i see that most of the CMH market uses the PGZ base.

I'm running them in a basic air cooled reflector with no glass or air cooling, something i had on-hand.

Have you bought from him? Or spoke with him? He has his phone number posted on his site that rings to every phone in his house, office, and cell. Call him at any time and see if he's not willing to answer any questions you have. He has suffered a lot of misfortunes recently. He now has a distributor that handles shipping. Philips themselves set this up for him since he means so much to them. He still over sees quality tho. He recently rejected 5,000 lamps from Philips because he wasn't satisfied with them. He recently had a lamp blow up in his face that put him in the hospital so he's not taking any chances with his customers safety.

I made a mistake putting down sunlight supply and hydrofarm in my recent post. It doesn't really matter what I think about them
My main objective was to give ATL a good review after reading so many negatives. I stand by my statements as far as his commitment to providing quality at a fair price.

I hope that clears some of this up

Sorry

Dont get me wrong he is a wealth of knowledge. ya I delt wirh him and EVEN told him I needed my ballast asap and he said no problem everything is in stock, but he just has issues. I think if you tell him your in a hurry and have a ballast down he gets an attitude or something I don't know what his deal is but he needs to clean his act up !! He tryed to tell me he would give me more on my next order but , I had no intention on dealing with him any further after the repeated story telling. Do you honestly think someone coming in here looking for a bunch of lites is going to order from him after seeing all the bad repore in here on him. I felt sorry for the guy ,but don't know why. I delt with some real tough things in my life just as he is going through with his mother, a few things we had in common so I know where he is coming from.

I agree he has a great deal going with his setup, but if you dont keep your customers happy ,you have nothing !! He has had repeated attempts to make things right, just needs to do it. Im a tinkerer and love saving money, by doing it myself

He sent me two ballasts and two mogul lamps even though I cancelled my order 2-3 months ago. He came through and the shipping was A+. Sad that he doesn't partner up with a major distributor and handle things more efficiently that way...

Well if you are in need of a good priced ballast I have delt with the guy on my second ballast. I have two more coming from this guy, he will deal dont be scared off by the $219 price. He has four left and must have a source, he had 5 the first time now 6 this time and two coming to me:) If you punch in a price of $140 he might except it. 10 bucks cheaper than the discount place. and he shipped fast the first time and I ordered on saturday this time and it was showing on sunday shipped so he must be putting in mail today. He is on ebay user name bulb3940 not the killer deal @ ATL but not a bad deal and free shipping to boot. Copy paste this into ebay to find him:

Damn man you must sell a good hustle !!! LOL Now if he would have sent me a free bulb after the fact I might still be dealing with him , instead of telling me I will make right on your next order, making me have to trust him again.

There are numerous posts with detailed information about this a few pages back. The early Philips ballasts had a rating of @ 33', and the later ones were shortened up substantially.

i just looked at this website and it said he partnered with a distributor and isn't handling the shipping anymore. You guys have a different experience?

Appreciate your response Rives, can you confirm you're referring to the info in post #1779. Wow just checked and my ballasts are from 2010 according to the date code.

Any thoughts on the mogul ballast vs pgz? is that still considered a good all around bulb?

Yes, that's it. There are a few other relevant posts in that area, I think, but Avengers post summarizes the transition date for the igniter circuit.

I have never used the mogul lamp, but have used the PGZ 930 and Agro/GreenPower extensively with excellent results from both. The mogul lamp is only available as a 942 and it's UV output is about 3x the PGZ versions if that is important to you.

The distributor is new. That's why I made my original post. He isn't handling shipping anymore. Philips themselves arranged the distributor because they have faith in ATL. He's been in business a long time. Just went thru some hardships. I ordered the old school 400w cmh lamps in the past, multiple times, with absolutely no issues.

Philips has arranged for a distributor. He no longer handles shipping himself.

THAT sounds like Phillips was sick of his shit and said we better make an effort to make sure this clown gets our products to his customers...

I've run anywhere from about 30" above the canopy to within a couple of inches of touching the glass when I ran out of room. The GreenBeams are actually meant to be rigidly mounted, so the clearance could be substantially more.

You can search the large CMH thread for tenthirty's posts to verify this, but if I recall correctly, he found the 315s to be pretty equivalent to 600w HPS.

Each 315 will use 342 watts with the ballast losses included, so they should be very close to half the consumption of 600's and just under 1/3 of 1000's.

The 630's are still basically the same fixture, just with two of everything that I discussed above. It would be interesting to see how even their light distribution is with two lamps mounted in one reflector like that - it seems like the hot spots from overlap would be damn near inevitable. At that price, I think that I would go for the Cycloptics gear and hit Flip (the owner) up for a discount. I'm pretty sure that he will work with you.

so do we know if these are better than the gavitas or not?

basically. the same price of equipment costs.. what would you use for flower these or gavitas.. if u were going to go with 6 6/750 gavitas.. 2 per 4x8 tent.. or all 6 in a room not sure what i cna do at the moment.

I have run Gavitas for years now. IMO there not suited for grow rooms with less than 12' ceilings. They need to be mounted at 12'. I will change my flower room to 12 of these or a mix of these and LED's that KB is testing. .

even the 6/750 DE?

basically trying to get another 4x8 tent setup for flower.. if i go from 6 1000s.. to 8 6/750sDes .. 2 per 4x8 tent. i think i could save eletricity and put out almost the same yields.
