So here is the only two that are showing there sex they are male and female. To me they look like the same pheno. It is one of the fastest growing phenos I have out of the Bluish Dream seeds. I am thinking these two would be a great spot to start my f2s. I will want to see them flower but judging by the pollen sacks this pheno will have dense grenade type of buds. Let me know you thoughts on these two plants.

Only way to choose keepers is to take clones of every plant and smoke the buds after pushing plants to the limit

I agree with you every plant will have clones taken before flower. Also I am looking for a fast veg so the two plants in the pic above look like the best to cross to get that trait to come out more consistent in the next set of seeds(f2). I have grown hso blue dream and dj shorts azure haze a good amount and kindda know what I am looking for. And if I had a good camera you would be able to see the size and formation of the pollen sacks which will help give you an idea of the bud formations you could get. The plants I crossed to get these seeds looked very similar to the plants in the pic above. Any tips are welcomed I just feel I have not given you guys enough info to understand what I am doing here. I still have to flower the males and females to be sure of my phenos. The crosses will be made from clones. I will flower all males together first to make sure I get a great male or two. Then the females will flower and I will have a better idea of what I should cross. But right now I am trying to get a decent idea of what males and females are similar growth maybe even same pheno so I can actually make the strain better/more consistent phenos. I cant smoke a male and tell if it is the same pheno as a female the best way to find that out is to watch the way they grow.

Yeah azure male it was a real beast of a male by far the largest plant I have ever grown outside its pollen sacks formed so tight it looked like dense buds.

I also made other crosses with it to 501st og and moonshine haze both rare dankness reg seeds. I am excited about those too, but these are first. Because I have silver mountain by Bodhi Seeds going which has more silver haze in it and that silver haze was by Mr. Nice R.I.P so I wanted to get a cross with his silver haze done. There's no definitive way to tell if the male u chose will pass on the traits u desire, except to make seed, grow the seed out, and smoke test the offspring from the male. That said, I like to use the stem rub trick. Another cool tech is to reverse the male to produce female flowers, to smell, and smoke test. U can't get a great idea of structure this way, but I think it helps to better know what terpenes, flavors, n effect that may be passes on. Good luck with the azure/bd project. It is one still in the back of my mind that I'd like to do. I still got 40 original azures to run n do the same with. I thought the f2, might have some more diversity to choose whatever path of pheno u wanted to explore. Keep us udated, and thanks for sharing.

I used Florel, and had my best success at 750ppm, once a week, starting a week before flower. Pick off any male parts as soon as u see them, and spray mainly the flower sites n not the leaves. Also keep them out of intense light on spray day. There's some good info the the advanced breeding section, where Sam started a thread on the subject.
