I was staring at my clone and thinking about how I really didn't care if she lived or not.





Even if she makes it outside at the end of May, she'll just end up stolen by the end of October.

So I thought I'd start a new one...









I didn't want to forget that I started a seed so I put it in front of my coffee maker.





I'm going to race the two against each other...

I'm kinda thinking the seed is going to win.



PS...
The seed is in the shot glass is pointed dimple up.

I'm about 95% sure that the taproot will grow straight out and down from the bottom of the seed.

The shot glass is filled with distilled water and I will dump almost all of it out in the morning then put her under a coffee cup in the rafters where it's warmer.


I like how a seed pops and grows in just a few days.

You can see the progress quickly.

I agree there's something special about watching a seed grow. Growing a clone doesn't have the same creation feeling

It's not that.

Clones are just too damn slow. (or at least mine is, )


This is when I cut my clone and planted it on February 15th.






This is a plant from seed after less than a month...










It is entirely possible that I just suck at cloning...

I'm used to seeds.

I opened my closet to check the temperature and RH just before lights on.






She looked ok when the lights came on.






I turned my ceiling lights up more to try to get her to stretch.







The tops look ok.







The "vortex" leaves appear to be doing their job.

My friend came back to visit me in the backyard...

I turned my fan more inside to circulate the air better and not blow away all my CO2.
