Yeah, now I get it, since it happened really overnight it could be the peroxide. Maybe you should be careful what products you use near your box. Could have been a bug spray or something toxic and you would never know you got it on your plant.
Regarding your ppm, most people would consider 800 to 1200 ppm much too heavy for a plant that age, probably EC 0.8 to 1.2 would be more apropiate. That means you are giving it double what she might need. By keeping soil wet and soaked in nute water you also don't leave much possibility of proper ph swings and the much needed dry periods between waterings to help the roots stay healthy and strong. When the plant is not drinking and leaves are leaning down, it's already a bit late, roots were effected. Most probably by the swampy environment that tends to acidify if you leave it like that.
I must admit the droopy leaves made me think its something related to the soil, as I wasn't expecting some peroxide drops to do more than leave some spots on leaves. That's powerful stuff if it can affect the turgor of the leaves it lands on.

I bought the bug spray a week ago and used it a bunch of times.
I had fricken maggots in my kitchen garbage again so I hosed them down good, but that was two days ago.
I haven't bought bug spray in decades. It's different now. It has no smell.
The old school stuff had a specific stink to it. It really kicked ass though.
Lol

I really had to hose the shit out of those maggots to kill them.

OK, I will consider that.

I don't really mind wasting nutes, especially veg nutes, I've got way too much of that.

I figure that if she doesn't show signs of nute burn, then she's OK?

I did end up with 3400-3700 PPM in both planters with my last plants in both the closet and kitchen though.

The PH swings up wildly once my plants enter flowering, especially in the closet with all the lights.

The PH would swing up over 7.1 even though I was feeding her up to 4 liters a day at PH 5.8

I know now to water from the top at the stalk to flush proper PH down through the roots.
And I need to keep a close eye on the runoff to check the PH especially.

My window plant is still just a youngster though so I should maybe go easy on her until she hits flowering.

I have grown some awesome plants with my unconventional ways, so I know that it can work.

It's just peroxide, and it's an all natural green product. You'd think that it would be fine, and I know that I didn't spray the plant directly.

But I do remember feeling a tingling in my nose while I was spraying it everywhere. 🙃

Maybe I should have clued in?
I think my eyes were stinging a little too, but I'm not sure.
I was pretty damn wasted. lol

Meanwhile,..
My plant 🪴 looks fine except for two dead leaves 🍃.

I think that I'll cut them off so she doesn't look so ugly?

I wonder if those two shitty leaves are a helping or a hindering the plant at this point?
She may be able to still get some photosynthesis out of them or maybe she is wasting energy trying to shed them?

It could be like when you've got gangrene or something?
Cut it off before it infects the whole organism?

Plant will still use some of the elements in those leaves till they are fully dried off. I would only take them out if they become a mold risk in the future. Or if they really start drying off. They might be useful to photosyntesis as well, since they are still green and exposed to the light.
Regarding the high nute concentration you use, it's not about wasting nutes. Plant will be happier and the bud will be better quality in the end. Some of the pros never pass 750 ppm in their grows! Even the PH swings will be less crazy then!
Also, dunno if you continue to let it sit in runoff, but that might be your worst mistake there.

I do have tons of elements in the media and reservoir for her, but maybe the nutes in the leaves 🍃 are more accessible?
I'll leave the leaves 🍃 alone and see how they progress.

Well, I'm no pro and I don't care to be, but maybe I'll reduce my PPM a smidgen.

I do remember some guys growing with a PPM of 2800.

Maybe not having my PH go all squirrelly is a good reason to turn it down,.. a little bit. But not my lights.
They are going to full blast. lol

It doesn't sit in the runoff once she gets going.

I can't feed her enough at the end.
I don't want to have to water her with 6-8 liters a day to get runoff.

She soaks up 4 liters a day and my planter only holds 2 liters, so it's twice a day.

I don't want to make it 3-4 times a day for the sake of runoff.

That starts to be wasteful and a pain in the ass mixing up all those nutes just to dump them down the drain.

Turned in to this,..

IMG_20220910_210339.jpg

The plant does look pretty shitty.

IMG_20220910_210501.jpg

I don't really care.
I'm not going to smoke it.
The window plant 🪴 is for experimental purposes only. Lol

I do intend to take better care of my closet plant 🪴, and I didn't spray anything in the room with the closet planter.

I don't care about the window plant.

If anyone dares me, I'll chop the plant and throw it in the garbage.

Then I can unscrew 6 of my bulbs and just run one 10 Watt bulb to illuminate the kitchen.

I unplugged the fan too.
That's another 12 Watts

If a plant 🪴, that I'm just going to give away, ends up taking more time care and money 💰 than my cat, then I need to check ✔ my priorities.

I got the 16 shields installed in the closet and made 4 long ones for the ceiling.

IMG_20220920_164745.jpg

The fly ribbon is full of bugs but they appear to all be fruit flies, and I don't see that many flying around any more.

IMG_20220920_164802.jpg

I removed all the sticky traps and the ribbon and replaced the ribbon with a new one.

It looks like the weather is finally going to cool off in a few days so I can get started on my next plant soon.
It's still pretty warm and damp in the closet.

IMG_20220920_164751.jpg

I've decided to grow another Poison Rose X Cookie devil.
I'm really liking the buzz that I get from it. I don't get paranoid and I can keep track of my thoughts better.

I grew that plant for 9 weeks and 3 days, so I'm going to try to grow my next one the same way.
That plant wasn't huge, it was 248 grams but that's more than half a pound, and I've still got a bunch left.

I also removed all my sticky traps and replaced the sticky ribbon on the window sill yesterday.

IMG_20220921_185417.jpg

By 3 pm today I caught 1 bug.

IMG_20220921_185536.jpg

I had researched how to DIY catch fruit flies and they all use Apple 🍎Cider Vinegar, dish soap 🧼, and some sort of trap.

Screenshot_20220921-191702_DuckDuckGo.jpg

I made a trap with soap and cider vinegar a few days ago in a Mason jar with holes in the lid, and it didn't work.

I was considering trying the Beer Trap, but I was hesitant to waste Beer 🍺.
Lol

I figured that the bugs are attracted to the stank of cider vinegar, so I put some vinegar in a spray bottle and sprayed the sticky ribbon 🎀,..

I Worked Awesome !!!

Within 2 hours, I caught 6 more bugs !!! (including a fungus gnat)

The ribbons work way better than the sticky traps.
They are really gooey and any bug that lands on it gets stuck.

My last batch of sticky traps didn't work worth a crap and caught nothing. They were $8 for 20 sheets and are useless.
The batch before that worked way better, but fruit flies could walk right across it.

The ribbons were $7 for 10 ribbons at Walmart and if you stink em up with cider vinegar, they suck up lots of bugs 🪰
Lol

IMG_20220921_194043.jpg

I'll bet that the Fly Ribbon could catch a wasp or hornet.

Once the wings hit the goo, it's done !!

I kinda feel sorry for the little Bastard now that I got a good look at it.
Kinda cute in it's own way isn't it?

It's probably going to die a horrible death from thirst, starvation, or exhaustion.

Oh you actually spray the ribbon. Works well, doesn't make it less sticky?

I use a trap that's a cup where you put the vinegar and then there's a yellow sticky ring around it. Or actually what they recommend putting in the cup is "a mixture of red wine, vinegar, honey and detergent".

Wonder where the fruit flies are coming from? They wont be interested in the weed or the compost - those guys literally only eat rotting fruit. Do you have any apple trees outside??

It all started when I bought a dozen cobs of fresh corn 🌽 and then another 2 dozen cobs the following weeks.

I would open the kitchen garbage 🗑 can and there would be dozens of flies 🪰 buzzing around.

The worst was when a house fly 🪰 got in the garbage and laid there eggs. Then the garbage 🗑 was crawling with maggots.
That happened 3 times in the past couple of months. I had to take the garbage can outside and spray it down with the garden hose. They get into every nook and cranny of the can.

A covered trashcan usually does wonders at keeping flying insects out. Here we use the ones u press a paddle with your foot to open it. It's very convenient!

Most of the newer formulations are quite water resistant and durable.

It's pretty much water proof. I was thinking that if the bugs land on the water droplets, then they wouldn't get stuck, but I guess they walk around until they hit a sticky spot?
