I mixed up some fresh media with 50/50 coco perlite and filled a hole in the top of the planter with it.
I started a new Poison Rose X Cookie Devil seed.
It's in a shot glass under the mug.

I turned up the lights to bring up the temperature in the closet.

I flushed the window planter with tap water to rehydrate the media and wash out any salt buildup, then I transplanted the sickly Poison Rose X Cookie Devil seedling 🌱 into the window planter a little off from center.

I planted the sprouted GLo F2 seed in the middle of the planter.

I'm doubting that the seedling is going to make it, but I'll just grow two plants together in the planter if it survives.

Here is a Shoofly trap in operation for 2 weeks, you can see the flies at the top of the water and the left over attractant at the bottom, I have one by my back door and one by my front door, both are just as full of flies.

Here is the eBay listing;

Here is a Shoofly trap in operation for 2 weeks,

I did find it on eBay and I will consider it for next year.
Fortunately, the bug season is over now so I won't have to worry about them until spring.
I threw out all the sticky traps and only notice the occasional fruit fly now. No fungas gnats, house flies or shit flies.

I'm pretty sure that after my garbage can got infested with maggots, I missed a couple when I hosed out the garbage can in the backyard.
The maggots got into the hinge mechanism and it couldn't get them all out with the garden hose spray nozzle.
Apparently house fly eggs hatch in 8-24 hours, then the whole cycle starts over and the remaining few maggots crawl back into the garbage and the cycle continues.

If it happens again next year, I will hose down the garbage can in the backyard, then put the garbage can in the bathtub with hot water and bleach where I can submerge the can to kill all the hiding maggots.

I could have just thrown out the entire garbage can, but it was a $40 stainless steel garbage can. Lol

Even when I put everything into a garbage bag, tied it, and threw it into my blue bin, I could still smell it outside and that brought in more flies right near my back door where they find their way into the house.

The garbage is picked up weekly and the kitchen garbage can is sealed up enough that I can't smell it until I open the can.
It's when I empty the can into the blue bin that I smell the stank of garbage.

The new window plant looks like she's going to make it.
One of her cotyledons died off, but she looks healthy now.

I churned up the surface of the media and plugged in the fan.

The numbers in the closet look pretty good. I sprayed the top of the media to bring up the humidity.

I put a few drops of water on the sprout to help soften the shell.

Looks like she ended up a little shallow, and pushed herself out of the medium. You could try gently putting some extra medium round the root, but LITFA is often the best medicine... ;)

Well, I put some media around the root and popped her helmut off.
I'm going to try to give her more LITFA now. Lol

Seems like you're on a streak of bad luck with the plants. Lets hope it passes or maybe you can change your approach somehow.

Yeah, the good thing is that I'm only wasting a few days per plant.
It sucks to lose a plant to mold after 12 weeks.

I think that I need to dry out my media ??

I'll give her a day or two and see what happens,..

She still looks like she wants to go,..

I turned on the ceiling fan and left the door slightly open.
The wind can blow through the closet and dry up the media.

I guess I'm experimenting in the closet.
I didn't want to do that.

If I can turn this damped out sprout into a happy 🌱 in a day or two, I'll keep it.

You seem to have had the best luck starting seeds in the past by mixing fresh media and digging out the center.
