Her stalk was broken and rotting.
I'm sure she would have recovered from her yellowing, but there's no coming back from a broken stalk.
I started another seed. It's another GLo.
I'm going to grow it the same same way as always.
It's always worked for me before.
I'm just going to keep an better eye on the PH of the reservoir this time, and not wait for yellow leaves before checking.
I'm almost positive that was the only issue I had before everything spiraled out of control. Lol
It's been 3 days and my seed hasn't popped the surface yet, so I dug it up to investigate.
The seed has stopped growing and looks the same as it did three days ago.
I decided to check the PPM of the reservoir and it was at 2700 !! WTF
So I emptied the reservoir and flushed it with 2 liters of RO water and the PPM went up to 3200 !!
I ended up flushing it 3 more times with tap water to finally get the PPM down to a reasonable number.
The PH ended up being perfect.
I put the cracked seed back into a shot glass but I'm pretty sure that I killed it.
I want to see what happens though.
I started a new seed, another GLo because I'm pretty sure the other is dead.
I couldn't help myself and took some pictures of my sprout.
I didn't dig her up this time. I just kinda uncovered her a bit. lol
That sprout is 6 days old now from when I started her.
I wonder if she automatically starts her timing from the day she hits the water, or from the day she sprouts above the surface ?
I wonder if she's stunted and about 4 days behind now ?, or if she's had some prenatal stress that will make her tough and eager to grow ?
(or the photo shoot killed her ? lol)
