Good, now LITFA a bit.

Yeah, I'll try.

I won't be watering at all. There is no need for it.
The soil is damp about 1/2" below the surface, and I've got a couple of inches of water at the bottom of the planter, and it's wicking properly right to the top.
There is probably enough water in the planter to last a couple of weeks because there is almost no transpiration right now.

I've grown a bunch of plants in 40% RH and they were fine.
It wasn't until I started watering and spraying that I ran into problems.

There were a few damp spots on top of the soil and they were all moldy, so dry is good.
I churned it under and put some dry stuff on top of it.

The door being screwed shut is helping. I'm still checking on the plant, but it's down to a couple of times a day because I have use a screwdriver to open the door.
It's way better than 25 times a day. Lol

I could actually just leave the door shut for more than two weeks until she's ready for nutes and some side lighting, but I don't think that I could wait two weeks. Lol

Keep LITFA Bud, you're doing good. :tiphat:

And a peek to my late outdoor, pics taken today:

Mini Mango autoflower, week 4 ...ish.
IMG_20211030_164023.jpg
Cheese (Barney's Farm) week 3/4 (of flower, of course), a bit wilted from the cold night - 3C last night... But it has the roots insulated all around with sponge foam sheet. I'll just put another lid of that on the top.
IMG_20211030_163938.jpg
Another Mini Mango, this one's a real mini, it's like 20cm tall.
The main reason I'm doing these late outdoors is my love for purple bud. It looks pretty purple to me. I got two of those.
I had the mm seeds from 2010 and was really surprised to see them germinating 100%.
52 out of 52 popped off and I got 22 females out of them. Only one (the big) has a proper planting hole with peat/perlite mix and insulation, all other were just shoved in little holes the size of a espresso shot.
Like the dumb ass I am, I forgot to keep a male to perpetuate this strong and productive strain.
It looks like I'm at the other end of your issue, I LITFA them too much.
First week of November they'll get some PK 13-14 (mm's 5th week of flower), than Cheese will get some and fingers crossed by the end of next month I'll harvest.
Have some (generic, no name) sativas, seeds about 7-8 years old, they cracked allright just not enough time for them to finish. It's a shame..

Wilted and yellow tops are from the cold, developed in the last week.
The little one on the bottom right of the pic is a Wappa whot got through some trouble, now recuperating and soon will be moved inside as mother for clones. Tough cookie that one.

I agree.
I love seeing purples, reds and oranges. All the fall colors.

Some browns and yellows can be cool too if they don't look like death.

I'll still take a bunch of pictures but that's all.

I'll put some plain RO water down the tube if the level drops.

I'll try to remember to water her some at the stalk when I start with nutes.
I remember starting with the nutes a few plants ago and poured it down the tube and my plant became deficient.

It took too long for the nutes to wick up to the roots when it was still young.

I'll just put about 100-200 ml in at the stalk to give her some nutes without drowning her.

Feel free to post any updates here if you want.
I couldn't find a grow thread of yours.

I don't know much about growing outdoors.
I didn't know you could grow this late in the season and I didn't know about insulating the roots.

I didn't think a plant could survive a freeze.

I noticed that the trajectory of my plant was in a direct collision course with my new linear measurement device,... as illustrated in the picture below.

I thought that it would be prudent for me to realign my measuring device ...

I felt as though I was cheating by opening the damn door for a third time today, so I thought that I should do it the hard way ..?!

Thanks Bud, I'm not such a big poster, I did it just to show you I'm not talking out of my ass. I grow shit too.
My way to show you respect, trust and appreciation to your efforts. You've got your struggles I've got mine.
Your remark made me realise I never had a thread on my own, I just participated in others occasionally showing my work.
For that, I'm grateful to you. :tiphat:
...I didn't know you could grow this late in the season and I didn't know about insulating the roots.
I didn't think a plant could survive a freeze.
I just made a "pot" out of 15mm thick foam sheet - flexible one, carpet insulating they call it here - placed that in the planting hole and filling it with soil mix.
For oxygen I've made an "air dome" out of metal mesh filled inside with tobacco scraps, you can use even discarded ciggarette stubs. To keep out the critters and have air for the roots.
Starting with next season I'll add metal mesh around the "pot" as well, 'cause here we have many moles digging up for earth worms and fucking up roots.
Thanks to Scrog Monster method (SHOUTOUT!), now I'll add extra breathing holes in the foam pot so the roots can escape, expand and breathe more easily.
When the temps are dropping drastically I just add a lid on top of the soil (same insulation) and that keeps good temp for the root ball saving it from locking.
I had sativa hybrids grown 'till end of November, soil frozen hard (minus 5-7 C) and inside the insulation nice and worm. The plants are taking the freeze, it's the root giving up to the cold.
Who knows, maybe next time I'll keep the outdoor 'till Christmas. How's that for pioneering?
I started as an outdoor guerilla grower so I had to adapt to all sort of hardships and quickly develop tricks to help.

A Christmas plant.
That's a good idea !!

I'll grow another outdoor plant next year, but it'll be an autoflower started indoors then put outside in late May.

I should have it finished up in August so I won't have to deal with any freezing.
