I finally did some PH testing on my nute solution and the tray of solution.

I haven't calibrated it yet but its still better than all my other PH testing stuff.

This is what my nute solution looks like after everything is added except the PH up...

This is the reservoir...

So there is quite the PH drift going on.

I PHed the solution low because of all the drift, but I went a bit too far and brought it up a bit too high.

I started with 1/4 tsp, too low, then another 1/4 tsp, and a bit higher than I wanted...


I was aiming for 5.8 so that it can drift through the range.

So it works out perfectly and really easy to do and remember...

1/2 tsp of everything except a bit less than 1/2 tsp of the PH up in to 1 gallon (4 liters) of RO water...

Really easy for my Covid Brain to remember.

I may substitute Potassium Silicate for the for the PH-up because the stuff is harmless...Lol

The ph looks good and it looks like you know how to feed her.

Im thinking the algae infestation is causing the problem, can let her dry out a bit and cut off which roots that are decomposing from the attack.

Maybe some foil over the rez thats open to the light and change out the water with some oxygen supply to the water.

Without the algae smothering the roots and eating all her food and oxygen I think everything will be great! Looks like you will get to harvest

Buds, iv been thinking, since you veg her with low light levels compared to what she is now, maybe the leafs were not prepared for the ammount of light they get in the cab and die off?i ask because you have the same thing in other plant if i remeber correctly, and this girl stretched a lot and didnt have too much light..

Anyone have an opinion on this or is just my newb brain making shit up?

I don't see it as an infestation.
I don't see a problem.
It's just some algae growing.

It's coco and perlite.
I can't overwater.


I'll clean it up in a few days.
If it were in my big SIP container or if I filled the tray with perlite, I wouldn't see the algae.

I'm sure its always there.
I see it as symbiotic and natural.
I like that.

I didn't grow the roots into the reservoir, she did.

If she's stupid enough to grow into a bad environment, I'm sure she's smart enough to cut them off herself if that's better for her.

She's not smothered, there's plenty for everyone.

If she's smothered, she can ditch the roots herself.

Should I have cut the roots off when I first saw them growing into the reservoir ??

Does she need to stay in her box ??

If she does, she will ditch her own roots with no influence from me.


I don't really care, I have plenty of weed.

I gave away my entire last plant of probably 500 grams or more.

I'm a micro doser and a mega grower.


I don't care if she dies, or even the next plant.
I've got plenty of weed.


I'm just going to leave her alone and let her do her thing...

EXACTLY!!!

She don't need those big ass fan leaves anymore !!..

She went from 50 Watts from above to 250 Watts from all around.

More than 5 times more light. (my strips are more efficient. )

She can get all the light-food she needs now from the remaining leaves that she has.

She is well stretched out to take on HUGE amounts of buds !!

She's not suffering,...
She's just transforming into a flower generator...

I stopped breathing for 3 minutes in my sleep a few times, but I popped awake.


Guess who's drunk and stoned and smoking and drinking like an ASS right now ???

Yeah, but those leafs are important buds, they need them to breath, etc, thats how our girls talk with us so...she will grow and finish i guess, but i guess in not the best version of herself

I cleaned out the reservoir and removed the roots.

I still think she was better off with algae on her roots than no roots at all, but it probably doesn't make much difference.

That's true, but I figure with the amount of light she has now, she doesn't need all that clothing.

She should be naked to go into the tanning salon or she won't get a proper tan. Lol

Now she can focus on just her flowers, and she has plenty of room for big colas, without any branches or leaves in the way or shading the flowers.

That's what I figure anyway...

We'll see what happens.
