Thanks rootidec. She's certainly surprised me.

Thanks also Dr.Zoidberg. Your mailbox is full so just to say I greatly appreciated your pm. The plant is under a 100w sodium security light.

Hey, i have two pc cases i grow in, but when i gutted them (especially one of them), they got f**ked up, and lost their shape. It leeks light from here and there now.
I was thinking if i would buy a new case, and really do a good job with it. But if i am going to buy a new tower, i want the largest one there is.
Do anyone know what company who makes the largest towers around? I have tried to google it, but i can´t find anything that i am searching for.

Have a great day everybody! :)

Go to newegg.com - They have great search tools, and they list the dimensions of every tower that they sell.

There is no standard size really for towers. Some are a bit taller than others, some longer. Just make sure it's a full tower and not a mid tower. Mids are significantly shorter and we need all the vertical space we can get.

Hi i am a new pc case grower. I have grown in tents, and such before. I only grew autos, so cloning wasn´t an issue for me then. Now days, i grow mainly photos, so i take clones ofcourse. I was thinking about buying a mini tent for clones, but then i came up with the idea that i should make my old pc cases so i could grow in them after i saw a pc grow box in a video clip on youtube.

The original was ofcourse that i wanted it to be a stealth grow case. But when i was gutting them i had a problem with the bolts that i had to drill out. I didn´t get that with the first cab, so i totally f**ked it up. I bent it open so the bolts flew off. When they were gutted and ready to put in the lights i found that it didn´t close like it would before. I tried to get it back into the original shape by bending it back.

So now i want to show you guys my cabs. I hope that you guys that hang around here, that are more experienced with these things then me could help me out with tips about what i can do about the problems i have with the cases.
I have seen so many nice cases here, and i think that there are many guys that hang around here on the micro forum that i can learn alot from about growing micro-style. I have already had a couple of "aha"-moments just by flipping through the pages.

So what i want to know if there are any ways to fix em up to be as stealthy as some other cases that i have seen here. The light leak are probably my biggest stealth problem. I run 24/0 schedule now so it´s no problem that i disturb their "sleep", but i can´t have people over without worrying. And also i would like to grow in them for real in the future. Photos, not autos. So that needs to be fixed. I don´t know if there is a way without attaching new bolts again. If you have any feedback or tips for me i would very much appreciate it.

Another thing that i can´t wrap my head around is how i should hang up my lights. As you can see in one of the pics, i hung them up like this like a temporary solution. Now i can´t come to think of another way to put them up. It looks like hell in there.
I have seen people that have attached their lamp sockets into the wall of the case, and other ways. Nothing seems to work for me. Plus that i can´t get a hold of much of the stuff that´s needed to do it. Anybody have any tips that could be useful for me would be great too. I´m not very pleased with them at this moment, not my gf either. But i want to keep em ofcourse.

Any help is needed. Thanx.

Hey manphredd that is one hot mess, but I kinda like it! The plants don't seem to mind.

I see you have the duct tape. That's tool number one. In my case, it's electrical tape because it blends in and easier to peel off if needed.

The light leaks are tough. I use rubber heatshrink tubing glued to all four sides of the door. There are so many little places light leaks through that it's really tough to get them all--some I just put tape over. I see you have light traps, those are helpful. You could build one for the fan too. I also heard of one guy caulking everything up and covering the places he didn't want to stick with vaseline gel while it dried.

If I were you I'd consolidate most of the wires together and run them out one hole. You also should mount the lights to the ceiling and mount the fan separately. I use magnets and really strong glue. Also zipties and ziptie mounts are your friend. However magnets may or may not stick to your case. They do with mine, and it works really well for moving stuff around.

Also no wires on the floor. Safety issue with water. And eventually you'll need odor control or your girlfriend will like your cases even less :D

Haha, yes it is a mess. :) I will have to fix that soon. They are growing, and it would be good to get it done before it too late.

I got the other cabs lighting in order now, but i don´t think i posted a picture of the inside of that one right? I only had one 23w bulb in there before, but a few days ago i added another socket so i can have two E27 bulbs in there.
Right now i have some clones in there that i don´t want to chock with giving them too much light.
And then, i haven´t got an enough strong exhaust fan, so i will have to fix that too before i can add another bulb.

I have a couple of pc fans, but i don´t have a 12V adapter to run it.

Your right about the filter. She would be really mad if it would start to stink at home. :) Can i just place a filter over the exhaust? :/

Well they're growing, so you can kind of learn as you go.

Sure you can put a filter over it if you use those carbon pads. They will not scrub efficiently later into flower though. For that I'd recommend something with at least an inch of activated carbon and a dual cylinder design for to not restrict airflow. Any filter will do this to some degree though, especially with pc fans.

Take 2 good 120mm or 140mm PC fans with high pressure ratings and put 1 inch of activated carbon pellets (those little rods) between. In a sandwich structure. Try "akasa viper" or "aerocool shark black"
