i mounted my power strip with industrial strength velcro
Resist, totally depends on your case and cooling fans. I run 160 watts in mine with an 80cfm blower and temps are no problem at all. You just have to add the light, fans, and run a trial monitoring temps. Temps too high add more cooling, if you can't add more cooling, reduce the lighting wattage.

Just a quick one guys.wondering what sort of temps you guys run at in your cases? im running an 86w bulb in mine and now ive added another fan blowing at the lights im running at about 79-82c. sound about right?
Here's a pic of my buddy's PC grow. It's cost him a total of about £10/$15 - he was trying to see how cheap he could get some free bud. Most things he's blagged from me for free!
Not sure how he'll do. He knows he needs more light, better ventilation, etc.. he's just trying for shits and giggles really!
It's a bit budget/ghetto compared to a lot of you in this thread, to say the least, but I'm sure if he gets a few tokes out of it, it will have been worth the effort - and he will blatently have a taste for bigger and better things!!

one of those to start off. I was going to buy a case from pcgrowcase.com but i dont have that kind of money right now so i'll try it in my own pc box that i dont like. My case is a little warped from trying to pull the rivets out and the side is a little hard to put on but i guess it will have to do for now. I have some questions for you guys that have had a couple harvests in your pc cases. Is it easy to get a dried OZ per harvest? Do you grow only one or two plants, and do you always buy fem seeds? I'm sure i'll have a lot more questions so bear with me. Thanks guys.

An oz is somewhat of a goal to strive for, a quarter is more realistic, but before we talk yields
i would need to know more about the lights you are running in there, a couple cfls probably
will not suffice for a yield such as an oz. You will want to look at a small HPS if you really
want an oz cured (perhaps a 75w securtiy light from homedepot?)
Dont underestimate one plant that is well trained (your best bet imho) unless you are doing
non femnized seeds, in which case run about 3 for the beginning and then ween out males.
Number of plants in a PC will have close to no effect on yield, since size and light are the
major factors for these results, so this is entirely up to you!
Fem seeds are not garaunteed and even the ones that are fems can be stressed into
hermaphrodites, but controlled darkness for the 12/12 stage is key to prevent that.
However if 3 months from seed to harvest, do you want to risk that you will have nothing
after all your effort, or highten your chances?

Reflective tape!! its like tinfoil tape and its air tight! You can get it at walmart and home
depot next to duct tape at walmart but in homedepot youll find it near DUCTING (while duct
tape is usually found with other tape) $6 roll will seal your case lovely!
I have learned to love and be able to rely on this product for my growing needs!
Also perfect for making ANY tupperware container light proof for hydro guys...

not quite sure i can picture what it is you want however you can make a grow out of wooden
dowels (found in a craft store) to use as a frame held together by hotglue, then for the
sides cardboard, and that reflective tape...

Hello everyone,
I'm looking to start my first PC grow. I already have the seeds germinating and have ordered some parts; I just need the case. I want to have the largest amount of grow room possible, so I was looking for recommendations for a case. I didn't want to spend much more than $150 on the case, though a more expensive case is fine if it gives me a significant amount of more space. If you're using a large case, which would you recommend? Also, which is more important, a few inches wider or a few inches taller?

Before odering anything for $150, I suggest you try and find a place that takes in old computers for a tax writeoff... An old server tower is eaxactly what you need if you can get it second hand from 1985 then it'll run you about 10 dollars
Height is not so much a concern as you can train the plabnt and force flower to control height but largest area at the base (or top cause they are the same) is the dimensions you are looking for...
So... Screw height concentrate on maximizing depth and width! If it's a server case height should be there by default

can't post a pic of my case, but it's probably the most make-do on here..
tis just a cheapie old beige warrior, lined with alu tape, dismantled a PC psu, cut the casing up, used the backplate for my power in and fan out, bent the bottom and top outwards, trimmed them, mounted two bulb holders on them, lined them with alu tape and screwed the reflector assemblies to the roof of the pc case
2 80mm extract, 1 80mm intake, 2 60mm circulation fans, cooker hood carbon filter foam. Terrarium thermo/hygrometers (cheap rotary)
got a 25w 6500k daylight cfl (1700lumen) and a 1000 lumen 16w 2700k warm white in there, using it as a seed popper, early veg, clone cab.. at the moment got 2 bonsai mums in there in little 1 litre pots
