are you still scrogging after you flipped? Or do you flip and them let them go? Any thoughts about stress if you bend/tie/scrog them while they're stretching? I know its LST but still...?

Yes, I keep scrogging until the stretch finishes. You are correct, it's just basically LST, so the plants can take it. I am admittedly a bit brutal with my training. I'm not gonna lie. If you look closely you'll see some frayed leaf edges and pinholes here and there. But that's also my style... I like to submit my plants to a little BDSM to make sure they have what it takes to be in my harem. So really all I can say is that in my experience thus far, plants can take the kind of stress that comes from extreme scrogging.

Now, on the other hand, I do stop clipping lower branches after the first or second week of flowering, in most cases. I do believe that that would be pushing it, with the stress, so I always try to get all the lower and weak growth tips as soon as possible after the flip. Any lowers that are still there under the screen at harvest time will probably end up being thrown into the cloning chamber, if this plant is worth keeping that is.

I had the pink pistil Panama pheno from Ace. A while back, I smoked some after a decent cure and the beautiful, lemony aroma translates directly to flavor! Great yield on extracts! The rosin I smoked was very strong, and despite having a high tolerance at the time, one hit was probably too much :) The effects were soaring, but it was a bit racy and I found myself a little bit uncomfortably high. The bud I consumed was harvested a little bit over-ripe, so I wonder if the effects may have been influenced by this? Anyone else have a similar experience with Panama?

Gosh though, that flavor is memorable, soooo delicious!

Day 30 of 11/13. The aroma is fantastic! It's strongly like lemons, but with something else going on in there. I can't put my finger on what else is mixed up into that lemon smell, but definitely something else, too. Maybe ginger? No, not exactly... but something spicy. I'll keep sniffing until I can find a word for it.

Little bit of nute burn starting on the tips there. I'm gonna lower the ppm on the next res change.

Whoa hush Im envious, you're gonna get a boatload of premium stash :tiphat: what temps do you have in there? EC?

I love this plant. Right now, cured, it's fizzy lemon and perfect hazey touch x10. Buds look golden. Soaring high really suitable to get you going or enjoy music or outdoor activities.

Due to taste (I give it a ten out of ten) I find myself abusing her... I found it's great day smoke, but if you indulge on the night I find myself with nervous legs, etc...

Mine was way overripe.

Thank you, I hope my harvest will be sufficient... I'm dealing with a rootbound rockwool cube right now, and that is what caused the fade to happen so soon. So I'm hoping that won't destroy things too much. I have to order some rockwool flock to fill the flood tray with now, so those roots can have somewhere to go.

The temps in there are around 70 during lights on and about 60 during lights off. I don't know the EC because my meter broke at the beginning of this grow, and I haven't replaced it yet. But it's a safe guess that I'm right around 0.9 to 1.0 or so.

Asking because (not an expert!) of that "snowflake" budsite fans shape, saw that when started using SILs, thought it was light-related but no, reason was the girls had cold...

What kind of lights are you using? SILs?

I have a pink Panama cut since 2014, but have flowered her only 2 times. I love the taste, but I don't like the racy soaring high. I crossed her with Original Haze and found my holy grail. Pink hair, Panama taste improved by some incense of the OH, with a clear, speedy, energetic high.

In other words, I'm trying to say, you should try Ace's Panama Haze :)

I actually don't know what SILs are. But I'm using just a regular old 600w HPS.

lucky and unlucky...

lucky and unlucky...

Hard to believe my first post is on page 220... but here we go!

I bought a 10 pack of regular Panama Red from Herbies, I was only able to get 8 of them to germinate and grow. But to my surprise, they are ALL female (the lucky part), and appear to be one pheno type - none of them the red pheno (the unlucky part) as far as I can tell... they have been flowering for nearly 5 weeks so far.

. I'm not very experienced, and have only completed a couple grows previous to this... i thought the different growth styles were originally due to some male, some female - some appeared to be growing taller faster than others, which i believed were male....and then when they were a couple months old, i heard about the different pheno types..

early in the seedling stage, i found out that they were starting a taco effect because they had too much light - not a problem i had seen before, or heard of before!

As they were growing out, the growth styles seemed so different - but i had knowledge of the different phenos as well as the belief that some were male, so female..

I mixed a medium that was roughly 60% soil, 20%sand 20% perlite... I also mixed in some blood meal and earth worms - and used lime to lower my PH

cash flow is tight currently, so i didn't purchase and fert until they were about 2 months old, I was hoping that the earth worms and blood meal would be a good enough start.. I could tell the slow growth in the beginning was due to to the malnutrition i was providing to them.. then i discovered something new to me called Mega Crop - and this stuff is AMAZING. one nutrient from beginning to end, and it includes calcium & magnisium - AND it is PH balanced. I will continue using this until I find something just as easy or easier with bettter production!

I started the 12/12 cycle at about 2.5 months - 2-3 weeks after i started them on mega crop.. after a couple weeks in flower, i was shocked when i found out that ALL 8 of mine were female.. I thought to myself that the 2 that didn't grow for me could have been male, but still thought those were odds heavy to the female side.

I started mega crop before i changed the light cycle, and thought that the differences in the plants had to be the different pheno types... but now, they are 2 days short of 5 weeks 12/12 ( I did have them at 10 hours and 11 hours light in the very beginning for 2-3 days to try and kickstart the growth to determine sex) What is really shocking to me, is that they all seem to be the same pheno type - all the green pheno.. sadly, no red . : (
then again, i also know there is 220 pages of entries that I can browse through, but just want to display what i have with my first grow of the panama, and see what you all have to say about the shit show i'm engineering here! :p
