another bit i forgot...article today about cannabis mentioned that CBN in combination (not alone) with THC was effective as a pain relief from rheumatoid arthritis, as well as being a sleep aid. also looked to be effective on glaucoma, and is a possible treatment for ALS, or Lou Gehrigs disease. science marches on, whether you believe in it or not.

I tried those CBN gummy‘s, and I had to take 250 mg and still couldn’t feel anything. I’ve got multiple pain issues and we’re not talking about a bump on the toe. I’ve got a 50 staples scar in my belly and it feels like an electric fence has been lit up on certain parts of that scar all the time, my spine is junk so I keep on pushing on … I want to outlive all of my doctors just to spite them. Tomorrow I go back after 25 years of not wearing glasses to full-time glasses. I’m having a hard time seeing when I drive and reading is ridiculous. I had Lasix done 25 years ago and it was great, but I don’t know that I’d be comfortable with him doing it twice, thereby may be causing scarring. Insurance covers the glasses and the visit but they won’t touch the Lasix. That answers that.

That sounds like spinal stenosis. Have you had an MRI? I have had 2 ops on my L4-L5 region for that. in the 1st he removed some bone and the 2nd was just a Dremel of the same area. Now I have it in L2-L3 - verified by MRI - and I have a meet with a surgeon in February since my regular one retired. At least the pain is different this time . . .

i'm going to my DR tomorrow. i WILL be asking him about this as a possible treatment for my shoulders. an x-ray showed that places on my spine were calcifying around the nerves, potentially causing my pain.

Try to ask him about physio (as in physio massage) too because it can really help a lot. Even better when insurance covers it

article said that pure CBN didn't have an effect. the two together did, the old combination effect.

That sounds like spinal stenosis. Have you had an MRI?

doc that took x-ray said stenosis. we'll see what my doctor says today...

I don’t really consider stenosis pain to be real pain since it is your spinal cord rubbing on some nasty bone matter and telling you that you have pain in your legs or feet when there actually is none. That means that normal pain killers don’t really do squat. I have tried everything in my med supply with little to no success over the years.

My L4-L5 stenosis affected my lower legs and feet. Cramps in the lower legs and extreme pins and needles in my feet – to the point where it was difficult to walk any distance at all and even standing for longer than a minute was a problem – so quite debilitating. This time, the L2-L3 stenosis is affecting my upper legs and thighs with significant cramping. It feels as if I just walked 5 miles up a mountain path after only a minute or two on my feet. The doc prescribed a nerve drug – Pregabalin - usually used for epilepsy, fibromyalgia etc but after reading about it, I decided to do without it as long as I can. So the only thing I take is Robax – which is ibuprofen and methocarbamol – and it is the latter (a muscle relaxant) that seems to help a bit by relaxing me. I accompany that with lots of cannabis – the strongest that I have – and horizontal rest. For exercise, I load my brain up and walk my dog a mile or so every morning. The 1st half of the walk can be excruciating but the latter half is always much better – especially if I sit for a minute or two on a park bench. Good luck.

Pain definitely sucks. One of my bitches are the doctors. At least in my case every doc tells me I don’t make sense. I get what feels like (or what I imagine feels like) being stabbed repeatedly in two areas of my abdomen. It also burns like a son of a bitch. I can be sitting, walking, standing still.. and all the sudden I’m doubled over in pain. I also get shooting pain across the top of my chest. Right to left. Luckily this is a quick 10 second type. The stabbing one lasts long. Also there is a constant pain that does not go away. It always there at some level. Feels like Mike Tyson took his best shot and landed in my abs/ribs. On good days it’s only quite painful. My elbows are functional until some weight is applied. Constant soreness and stabbing when I use them. Docs tried telling me in my head until my elbows started failing. Now my hips have begun to follow suite. Also had a weak positive for chrons. I get the squats now and again. Sucks ass. Ha ha.

I’ve seemed to build up a huge tolerance and can vape constantly with little to no effect. I’ve found by accident one commercial cartridge removes elbow pain somewhat. I’m trying to figure what was in it. I’ll go broke buying 60$ cart every day. Plus it was in another state and not easy to get to.

Now looking at chemdawg or crosses.

@bigsur51 .. damnnn. Hopefully you are out of that bed by now. I’m working toward what you have going. Grow my own, make my own. What hard hitting indica strains do you grow?

I’ve made one salve that didn’t seem to work all that well. I was dropping edibles like m&m s. But.. turns out that was actually aggravating my chest pains somehow. Awful cycle. I hurt so would eat more, which made it worse, which made me eat more. I seldom eat edibles now and the pain is reduced from what it was. I figured this out when I ran out of gummies for a while. Maybe my strains? Don’t know.

I take Gabapentin for nerve pain, for me it works well in comparison to what I went through for 2 weeks prior to taking the medication. I thought I might lose my mind from the pain. Intense muscle cramps drove me crazy, almost.

I've lived with a different chronic pain since 2010, I'm no novice to pain. Have been on morphine since 2010, I could not live well without it.
