Day 60 12/12

Im at a bit of a delimma as to when I should chop. With christmas coming up and all. I have zero smoke... non to speak of. If I chop tomorrow I can get a week of hang drying and a week of jar cure in before christmas and have some smoke for the holidays (then of course continue to cure the rest).

So far all three sweet tooth plants show a few amber trichs... but only a few. The AK 47 shows some, but even less then the sweet tooth.

My two blue widow really dont show many at all ... I struggled to find one or two on each bud... but there are a miniscule amount.

I think I may chop tomorrow just because Im out of smoke and my next round of clones are ready to go straight into the flowering chamber.

Ideally... I think these could go week 9 or maybe longer. I have reduced the water to them over the last five days in an attempt to speed them up. The foilage is yellowing and dying back appropriately but still only a few amber trichs remain.

Am I making a huge mistake by cutting them now (tomorrow)???

Last but not least ... the blue widows. Possibly the frostiest of the bunch. Unfortunately .. I didnt keep a clone.

reveg the blue widow by leaving a couple small larf nugs an throw it in the veg. as for ur no dank dilema only trim one that is the most mature or even a couple tops an leave the rest to finish.

I'd stagger the harvest. Take down the ones that are ready and leave the ones that still need time. That way you'll be getting two birds stoned at once.

I have to use the flower tent to hang dry to keep the smell down so I don't have the option of staggering the harvest. I chopped them all last night and have them hanging now... ill get pics up today/tomorrow. Officially I took them to 61 days. I do think its probably about a week early but the next round of clones are busting out of the veg tent so I'm not to worried about it.

Thanks man ... Im pretty pumped... day two of hang drying and they are slowly but surely starting to get crisp on the outer leaves. Looks like it will be a perfect slow 7 day hang... the on to the jars!

Up next...... a COMPLETE revamp of my growing room. Including a new 4'x8' tent with two 600's.

However, its not probably as cool as you all had hoped.

Im going to run 8 x 5 gallon buckets.

Only two spots will be used for MJ (up next is deep chunk x sour diesel and jackberry).

The other six will hold 2 super hot pepper varieties. I have seeds of Bhut jolokia, Trinidad scorpion, butch T trinidad scorpion, douglah, yellow 7 pot and many others. Some will know what these are, but others wont. Put it this way, most of those strains are capable of being 5 times hotter then a habanero... possibly 8 times.

So Ill have two spots reserved for the super hots, 2 spots reserved for tomato plants, and 2 spots for a sweet, non-hot pepper type. Maybe a bell variety, but maybe more like a big jim or orange sweet.

Since Im a medical grower growing only for myself, 2 plants in 5 gallon buckets willl provide more then enough and the extra that goes to the family will pay the electric bill that grows the veggies. Ive dabbled here and there before with veggies inside and Ive done a decent job of narrowing down to certain types that did awesome indoors.

Then in my 4'x2' veg tent, Ill house 2 MJ moms, a single habanero plant and a bannana pepper plant. Both of which are unstoppable fruiters.

Love the foxtail buds on the AK 47. Would be very keen to hear how she smokes in the end, keep us posted.

Here they are all jarred up after their hanging! They are pretty crispy dry but some I jarred up yesterday I noticed have moistened up in the jar over night. Ill continue burping them for a week or so several times a day. 19 quart jars full.

Preliminary weigh in comes in at 480 grams! Im betting Ill lose about an oz in further drying but I dont think much more then that... as mentioned they are pretty dry as it is.

Im sure Ill have hit 16 oz! Not bad for my second grow ever ... lol.

Big ass tray of trim I have no idea what to do with ... I guess Ill start reading about bubble hash? lol

Congratulations on hitting that pound harvest my friend! Very impressive stuff.

A quick question: what kind of ventilation did you have going in the tent as they were drying? Any fans going or did you have the tent doors open?

Penguin ... gracias. I had the tent zipped up and just had the scrubber running on low. No other fans and I only got three days of hanging before they felt to crispy. My humidity is really low here tho. They moistened back up after going in jars tho. should have them all burped out this week half of them are where I want em and the others should be about there in another few days of burpage

I got smoked out on the AK earlier and I gotta say its way above and beyond the sweet tooth samples I tried earlier but to be fair they werent finished by any means so tomorrow Ill hit up the sweet tooth and see how it compares.

I zoned out and made a new hot sauce tonight though from some rare, hot chilli's I grew indoors under a 600w HPS.

Im still waiting on the new tent to arrive. Today I got in another 600w HPS though, the rest of the equipment should arrive this week.

Heres the sauce ... liquid lava Im telling ya- it turned out really good.


1 can pineapple
1 can pears
1 can peaches
1 cup tequilla
1 cup vinegar
2 bottles lime juice
1 red pepper grilled and charred
2 whole tomato
2 carrot
1 yellow onion
1/2 cup cilantro
8 garlic cloves -toasted
2 tbs cracked pepper
2 tbs sea salt
2 tbs olive oil

To that I added 3 yellow bhut jolokia, 3 chocolate bhut jolokia, 5 carribean red habaneros, 8 chocolate habaneros and a single, small butch Trinidad scorpion.


Blended, then pressure cooked, then bottled. Yum!

Ive got clones from my keeper sweet tooth plant vegging along with some deep chunk x sour diesel and sannnies jackberry but I have a new 4'x8' tent coming along with another 600 so ill be running 1200w. I'm going to be growing some peppers and veggies in there though to so it won't all be mj. At least not at this time.

All the stuff should be in this week. Ill probably step up to 5 gallon buckets.

I'm thinking of clipping a couple more ak off my mom as well. Not sure yet how many plants I'm gonna run. Ill probably take some cuts tomorrow just in case I wanna run more.

Well shit FD, I changed my mind and as a matter of fact I do have an idea.

Screw the peppers, they'll have to stay under T5's until summer when they go outdoors.

Im gonna do a big run (for me anyway). My GF just got her card and she lives with me so it allows me more plants. Im going to get yet another 600 on top of the two I have and run 1800w in the 4'x8' tent (being shipped as we speak).

24 plants -> 3 gallon buckets, 1800w. All legal.

Sweet tooth #3, AK 47, and deep chunk x sour diesel. The jackberry doesnt clone easy enough for me so its not gonna make the cut, regardless of smoke. I want strains that are easy to grow AND produce good smoke.

Im calling in a MJ friendly electrician next week after xmas to check out my wiring and do what needs to be done as Im going to need to do something. The rooms on a 15 amp breaker.

600w ballasts are 5.5 amps a piece X 3 thats 16.5 right there, not to mention my vegging T5's, fans, etc, etc.

Im transplanting my clones tonight and sticking them under more light to get them to beef up as quick as possible. I gotta get them big enough to take 24 clones.. as quickly as I can. The tent will be here monday.

Hope you guys are ready for a show, Ive already tore down my other tent and am cleaning out the room tonight. Ive gotta do some work on the window ventilation before I set everything up.

This will be my 3rd grow and its gonna be a doozy
