Outdoor Madness in Manitoba with Greens (Guerilla Gold and many other strains)

OK guys, it's time for another update. I'm quite pleased with the way things are going this year. I just pulled in a nice harvest. I took down the rest of the GG#2 plants, about 75% of the GG#5 plants, quite a few Manitoba Medicine plants, a mighty freeze, an auto timewarp x GG, and a sour diesel x GG. It ended up being quite a haul.

All these pics are from August 30th right before I harvested.

This one is OG kush x GG. It looks like it's getting pretty close...

This is a congo x GG bud. This strain just tastes amazing and smells like orange tang and road kill skunk mixed together.

Esben's Guerilla Gold x Danish Passion. Some very nice trichs!

Alright these are all Jaysprout's strains...

First up is the Freezeland double bx #1. It's the fastest flowering of the freeze backcrosses and the pistils look so cool. Very strong piney smell now.

These are mighty freeze. I just love this herb.

Here are the mighty durbans. Make sure to check out that last pic; the resin is amazing.

These are a couple of my proven outdoor favorites.

This is Freezeland bx X GG#2. These just reek and are getting super frosty...

This is Auto Timewarp x GG#2.

Alright, now for the Manitoba Medicine.

I harvested maybe about a third of these plants. The rest should come down in the next 10 days, except for the beast. These are crazy sticky buds. The smell ranges from sour piney to more of sweet spice/greasy skunk smell usually with citrus undertones. With the earlier plants of this stuff that I harvested, I've been knocking people on their arses! :asskick:

And here is the beastly one...

These are GG#2. I harvested most of them in the past few weeks and now just took down the last ones. The quality has turned out to be amazing this year. This has always been one of my favorite strains.

Three plants...

And the buds...

Now for the Guerilla Gold #5. Most of these plants were harvested and the rest will come down very soon. The finishing time turned out to be quite consistent.

As I was harvesting the buds, I noticed that the plants are quite heavy. Not only that, the trichome coverage is just outstanding! These are some crazy nice buds. I'm glad I planted many of these, but next year I will plant many more. :muahaha:

Here's one I left till next time...

Alright, that's it for now...

Thanks brad! Yeah, trimming isn't always the most fun part, but the scissor hash makes it a little more enjoyable. lol.

Mr. Smoke, thanks man!

Hi Grunwald, thanks! I checked out your grow and it's looking good.

Awesome, townclown. You are gonna really like the Manitoba Meds. Have fun growing those!

Wow that gg #5 looks spectacular but so do all the gg's I have seen on here. Nice job they look really heavy. any beans of this available? Aswell did you ever try to keep a mom of any gg around, is this possible? Thanks.
Johny.

Thanks johnnyhash! Yes, I have the GG#2, GG#5, and Manitoba Medicine beans available. I don't think I'm supposed to be "spamming" where to buy the beans, but I believe someone already said where to get them in this thread. Yes, you can keep a mom from most phenos from GG and I've done it many times. I like growing from seed better though.

Hey guys, sorry I've been a little busy lately.

Seulguide, all of my GG lines are Early Gold x (Afghan x Mighty Mite) being either F5s or F6s. The EG is kona gold x himilayan BTW. Anyway, I made the first 4 GG lines through selective inbreeding. I chose four females displaying unique characteristics and pollinated each of them with an outstandingly early and resinous male. I selectively inbred each of these lines separately after this point and dubbed them GG#1, GG#2, GG#3, and GG#4.

After growing and inbreeding these strains for a few years, I noticed the GG#2 and GG#3 seemed to be the best two overall for different reasons. Of course, all of the GG lines were quite similar with similar smells, tastes, earliness, appearance, and good potency. However, the GG#2 was notably the earliest and often has these unique short, chunky nugs and strong aroma. This line seems to be the most mighty mite dominant. The GG#3, while being a week or two later, has the most solid and resinous nugs with the most consistent killer high. I'd say that one was the most affy dominant, although the kona gold shines through a little in all of them.

Anyway, I decided to pollinate some standout GG#3 females with a real monster GG#2 male. I named the offspring, Guerilla Gold #5. This GG line has proven to be as good as its parents. I was able to harvest these very early with the vast majority coming down before the end of August (and these were planted as seeds in the ground on May 29th only!). I am very pleased with the yield from this line and the quality is just awesome. Plant after plant after plant is just covered in resin, with a nice sweet spicy/skunky/hashy smell, and the potency is just awesome. I'm always surprised how long the high lasts too.

Hindu Killer, yes indeed. The GGs normally come down before the end of August, although I sometimes get some scragglers that go into september. It's also a great strain for crossbreeding with any of your favourite strains to get them to finish on time outdoors with a better ability to thrive outside.

Hey Greens, what kind of breeding have you done this year that will be available for the next? I hope more GG#5! Also can you keep inbreeding the GG plants with desirable parents and continue producing quality offspring or does it get to a point where its necessary to return to the original genetics (Early Gold x (Afghan x Mighty Mite) and make an F1 hybrid again? Just curious. Keep up the good work!

Thanks bong! Yeah, I should have more pictures up pretty soon. I want to take some more dry bud pics too.

buggsuperstar, this year the GG#2,GG#5, Manitoba Meds, and GG#3 x Jam Donut will still be available (well, until they run out). Also, I bred more pure GG#3 and another one I think will be called Manitoba Medicine #2. That one is (Freezeland x GG#2) x GG#3. I found an awesome resinous GG#3 male this year that is nice and early with very stinky clusters of flowers. As to you other question, you can continue inbreeding GG and expect to get some quality offspring. The best way to ensure this is by being selective with your parent plants. However, it is still a good idea to keep some of the older stock in case the offspring do not turn out as good as the earlier generation, due to improper selection or whatever other factor that may be. Actually, after making the first round of F5s with the GG#2, I decided to go back to using the F4 GG#2 stock because I was not convinced that the F5s were an improvement. It was a good idea too because the new GG#2 F5 stock I made the following season did turn out to an improvement. So, if you do decide to make some seeds, it's always a good idea to keep a percentage of your early stock for future breeding.

Hey bergerbuddy, thanks man. Yeah, this is definetely the way I like to grow. This is the first time that I brought out only seeds and didn't start any of them indoors first. Considering how things went, I'm never starting them inside again.
