I'm watering 2 times day and ideally they need 3 times, about ever 4 hours they could use a good drink.
For my first outdoor season, I really overgrew the place. I've been climbing in and hand watering 2 times a day because my pumps unreliable. It works but I have no idea what setting its on because the LED display is out so. All in all I got 12 plants stacked top to bottom 2 strains will be ready by the 10th the rest may go to the end of october. I can't complain about the high temps and dry weather, its certainly good for the garden minus the watering frequency. Assuming they finish well, should be an easy 20-30 from 12.
The 25 gallon pots breath so good they're really hard to keep satured without pumps.

Got some rain here this evening, haven't seen that for a long time. Cleared the leaves on the soil and grabbed the small flowers that were hanging to dry right before the rain hit. Got a little wet on the walk out but it was scenic.

Summer is about over!

Try not getting nervous about the rain. One inch in the forecast, possibly, toward end of next week. It’s the rain I was hoping for a month ago to bring the ground to life. I don’t know what to expect, the plants are a functional foliage fortress trusting in the plant functions

meanwhile battling issues indoors of course as a result of abuse and neglect, pulled seemingly dead yellowing leaves and cut out some larf.. resulting in battling pms now. even indoor environments show that it doesn’t take much to hurt them, wherever they are

Any of you knf/LABs serum freaks spray pretty much right up to harvest? My ass is paying for not enough defoliation rn.

I never spray in flower more on principle than any real reason. I think the LABs was helping but I got stranded away from my plants for 3 weeks and I think the drought stress, humidity and airflow all got the best of them.

Yeah we need more time to ripen to bring out terpenes and potency, hopefully it will dry out on the other side of the rain. Flowers have weight and pretty ripe with the warmer weather. Broke 2 more plants today, but its smoking good and smells good, so can't complain. These plants are only about 6 week (42d) flowering period. Some are a bit longer for early to mid october, but they are still pretty close already.

Seeds are good to go, they're brown/black and full!

That looks like an armyworm! Its a high pressure year for those according to the Purdue University article by Doug Richmond.

I just pulled less than 5 caterpillars today when I inspected in the sun. They aren't that bad yet. Keeping an eye out. Have to catch them by looking for small spots of dead and dried flowers/leaves.

Got to visit at least every 2 weeks in my experience. But drought can be a killer. Find a swamp ground and plant near the edge. Made it through the droughts in 2010-2012 without watering or with very little watering planting near a wet ground.

Also water crystals and mulch help conserve moisture, but its getting dry in some locations. It is here, the grass is brown and haven't mowed for 3 or 4 weeks unless the lawn is irrigated.

Yeah dead or diseased foliage needs to be removed from the garden to reduce disease, also native brush can be cut back to help airflow and reduce disease pressure.

Good to have some native brush to separate you from the field. It blocks the pesticide spray drift, so it should help with the dust. It has been dusty out there harvesting the fields.

Hope they make it through the rain sunday and monday. They backed off the rain forecast, so it may not be too long of a rain, but looks like chances for a couple days, so mold could be a threat. These plants have been acclimated a little bit to have mold resistance I think because of seed selection. They are loose structure compared to other strains.

The nitrogen is pretty high right now, over fed a couple plants a bit seeing slight symptoms on a couple leaves, but the extra N helps keep them from losing leaves.They are using it up quickly, plus when it gets dry they get hungry.

Couple more plants snapped, getting started on harvest I guess, not on purpose though. Will have something good to smoke if the rain starts to ruin the parade. Should be ok and make it through the rain.


Have them staked up the best I can. Used the tree again to support the tall one!

European cornborers.edit,maybe not, just looked them up.i was told that was what they were when i battled them in Minnesota.destructive little Basterds.

Bud borers are caterpillars. Mine are green or white usually and only get to about 3/4 inch long. Just remove the caterpillar, search the flower, you will find it. Have to be quick becuause they try to hide sometimes.
