...Yesterday, before sunset and taking advantage of the pleasant drop in temperatures, another little walk up my hill, from its base on the plain of the valley, dominated by the dehesa-savannah of cultivated olive trees (Olea europaea)
(I don't know what the wild flower is called...)
As soon as we ascend a bit up the hill, the cultivated olive trees will be replaced by olive trees born wild by seeds transported by animals, and by its ancestor/wild relative, the acebuche or wild olive (Olea oleaster), but above all by the main tree of these ecosystems. , both in the meadow/savannah and in the forest, the holm oak (Quercus ilex). After the last flower's pic, young oak shoots:

Plants did well with the heat. Some disease activity for sure, but its all older leaves mainly. There was a little yellowing on older leaves so went ahead and applied 1/2 rate cottonseed meal before watering. Most of the plants weren't getting yellowing leaves though.
Flowers are right on schedule, getting filled well on most of them by Sept.1.
The smell on the Cheese x Hindu Kush is getting stronger. That plant will be ripe in 2-3 weeks I think. Tried a little bit of the recently culled Cheese x Leb with root rot. It was pretty strong. still not yet dried. Still hanging in the tree drying, sweetening up!
Get to work smoke testing. Trying to find a home for all the old medicine. Still pretty good, but beginning to fade a little. Can't wait to smoke some fresh!

Pine Tar Kush-- making a comeback now that its getting good sunlight! Its flowering along well now!
Deep Chunk x Blueberry--These plants in the front I was pretty sure are DC x BB but they aren't looking like the others. These don't have red petioles and the leaves are a little different. I am wondering if these are DC x LVPK x HK. The are DC hybrids of some sort it looks like with their leaf shape and plant structure.
Cheese x Hindu Kush--flowering along well, getting some royal terpenes. This one may be a keeper!

It takes the inventive mind of a deep-thinking stoner to construct an elaborate setup like this. I see two timers, an automated water pump, copious wiring, relays, and autonomous nutrient dispensers. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that this setup is capable of freezing passing UFOs mid-flight.A friend of a friend has a wife who refuses to allow him to have an indoor grow. So he built an automated outdoor grow . . .
