i am trying this , mazar is at 5 weeks of curing , jar has been closed now for a week , maybe I'll taste this weekend

i have had no prblems or strange smells with this method

but i highly recommend ordering the caliber 3 , i also still have to order them

i bought 7 hygrometers from the growshop and the min and max reading differ 8%

this is way too much to be accurate cuz 5 % deifference in RH is a big diff

Heya THC123,

Just wanted to show you my Frisian Dews (5x fems) in case you hadn't already spotted them in the UK outdoor thread. It was mainly due to reading your 2009 thread that inspired me to choose the frisian dew.

I germed them about April 20th and so by the begining of May i had five little seedlings which were raised at first in a window and then in the garden spending sunny days in the breeze and dull days in a little greenhouse tent. I'm at about 51 - 52 North here in UK.

On 25th June just before being planted outdoors on scrub land (it's a guerilla grow)they looked like this, about 2 foot tall or more and only just been topped for the first time.

Outdoors and in the ground for a week and they are branching well now and i've topped a few more tips to produce more heads and help the lower branches grow up and out.

There is one plant which was obviously taller than the others with good branching too, and the rest seem pretty uniform with eachother. I managed to strike just one clone so far but still hoping for a few more just for extra fun.

They are lookin giid , still one month veg left, end july beginning of aug , they begin flowering

So i wouldn't top them anymore now.

Also try to reinforce the point at which you topped them,

at that point 2 branches will form in a V shape , this V shape is almost guaranteed to split in 2 once the branches are heavy and there is lots of wind

Quick update on the frisian at my buddies

Sigh , he overfertilised the frisians, this will caue slower growth

Now i don't really care about that , i gave him the plants and stuff , but there is ONE frisian that is for my personal stash so i'm pretty pissed

He topdressed the soil half june and last week , before he left on vacation , he again fertilised

Also another strange thing is that all the frisian where pregrown by me

All had the same conditions , still his are revegging like crazy while my frisian didn't really get a reveg , cuz she didn't start budding in may

the only difference between the frisians is the soil mix , i use my own soilmix , and my buddy his

Here area few pics, they are all very thirsty as it is friggin hot and dry now , i just watered them after taking the pics

1* danish gold 1* guerillia gold the danish and canadian ladies will flower within 14 days

my buddies frisians there are 4 frisians but imageshack was acting annoying , you can clearly see them revegging

It is a lot bigger then my buddies plants, the reason? less ferts , less is more , something my buddy just doesn't want to learn

And on this pic you can see the overferts this is one of his FD, the leaves don't shine anymore and the tips are crooked weird and burnt

My frisian had such nice shiny symmetrical leaves , now the leavs look fucked up

Anywho because it is a big plant , i am sure she will recuperate if she simply isn't fed anymore

When my buddy gets back tonight , first i'm gonna show him what he did , and then i'll tell him do with your plants what you want , but i'll take care of my own plant , my plant only needs water


My buddy is a good old time grower(50+) and sometimes he can be stubborn and won't accept advice and keeps doing his own thing

he thinks more ferts , more yields


And here a closer look at the mutant branch of my frisian , only one branch is like this the rest of the plant is normal

For the rest i am really hoping for a bit of rain , damn han't rained for like 2 week and so hot if by tonight it hasn't rained , i'll have to go water my guerillia spot

I am gonna ask my buddy to put the plants on his lawn and keep them in one place without moving them , this way they can shoot through the holes in the pots straight into the ground

The plants still have one month veg, so if my buddy doesn't again fertilise they should yeild nice , the revegged ones grew a little slower BUT cuz of the revegging they have way more branches then they would have normally had , those branches all have one month veg left


So with a bit of luck we'll have bushes like last year

awesome, shame about the burnt leaf tips. hope you can convince your buddy to keep his ferts off your plant lol.

yeah am also hoping for a big rain, but so far we only had a few drizzles here and there. am waiting on my Swiss army 20lt water bag for my future guerrilla watering. so it seems like you are saying the FD is not a very nute hungry strain? hope i didn't over do my top dressing last time.

the FD likes heavy nutes , but once per month topdressing is enough , plus you have to look at the dosage , my buddy just throws em on top without thinking
Plus the soil mix was already strong

he fed them after a month , but my plant could /should have gone 8 weeks without the first topdressing

Nice update, my fingers are crossed so that the rains will come and we will al have nice bushes like last year.

Having a friend taking take of your plants is always tricky, even when you just give them away. It's sad to learn that they had been eaten by snails, dryed coz it was forgoten, or over-fed. They are each like little children to me... Maybe I should start clonning more often

But don't have a cow, if your friend has been growing for some time, he might be stuburn about some things, but that should change once he tries his overfeed buds, and then yours, if you're nice enough to share.

That mutant branch is quite something, the rest looks well tho, so I would be surpriced if you had mutant buds (is that what stoner zombies smoke?), but it could be fun to clone it, just for fun.

I take care of them most of the time cuz he is almost always on vacation , but whn he gets home hehehe , he topdressed his plants before he left 2 weeks ago , and now he is gonna topdress again

But he promise not to touch mine as mine will be topdressed end of this month

We decided to try and scrog a danish gold , inspired by verdantgreen's wonderful grows

And here again the plants with this time enough water in their system

the last 2 are danish and guerillia gold , the rest frisian

Sadly the danish gold and GG just finished revegging and are starting to flower , so yield will be very low


Next year i'll start those plant outdoors then i will see sex earlier, i will never put plants on 12/12 again to sex , that was a bad idea


I also went to visit my guerillia spot


They haven't grown much cuz of the drought , today i brought 18 liters of water to my spot gave all my plants 2 liters and divided the rest amongst them

same story here , the danish gold guerillia gold and timewarp are revegging and starting to flower

so also here yield will be very low

I'm a sad panda but luckily the frisian and trainwreck will make up for those losses

and the sssdhxb3 and bubba kush xarne also will have enough time left to grow

only the manitoba meds , frisian and trainwreck will yield well , there is only 2 weeks difference in planting time , so the FD and the TWwhere planted 2 weeks before all other plants , but cuz of the reveg they lost their momentum

because the revegging plants will yield low , i am gonna plant my amnesia/ssh/whatever mother and sssdh mother on my other patch with one month of grow (or a few weeks on top of that) they will grow and still not get too big


i hope i will be able to flower them without mold although i doubt it

this is the shittiest outdoor season since 2008 , i miss having my own greenhouse full
