Very nice description, Madjag...As someone who has sampled OE on occasion, I think you nailed it really well.

I grew it out a couple of years ago - it was the first strain that I decided to try again. The first batch was - I thought- a bit more electric, I don't know whether there was a slight change in genetics or not - I haven't studied the history. The last three plants (grown this year) have been very much as you described. I find it to be an unusal high because it goes -and this is of course HIGHLY subjective- in two different directions. There's a force pulling substantially vertically and there's a horizontal pull of relaxation. While significantly and profoundly high, it's also transparent - I feel like I could handle any situation perfectly well...even operate heavy machinery (if I had any). Relaxed but aware, awake, and competent. Or something. Kinda.

And it lasts for quite a while. Sometimes, a couple of hours later I'll feel like I'm not terribly high and then I check the parameters and realize that I'm still wickedly, very high.

Mayan,

You captured the OE essence when you described the push/pull effect. I hadn't thought about that aspect but I sure have felt it. And the feeling of competance, like one could deal with any extreme in a peaceful, meaningful way, is an aspect that I usually do not get with the many other high-THC, jet ride herb strains; they're more like a roller coaster of highs that are edgy with a slight degree of danger...what is frequently called the "paranoia" effect. Also most strains don't creep the way OE does: sometimes I swear it's still climbing 30, 45, even 60 minutes later. I believe that much of that effect is due to is a decent percent of CBD taking over. This strain needs a good THC/CBD/cannabinoid profile! Someone?

Hi!

I've sprouted those Orient Express about 3 weeks ago.

Got 14 of it in a 10 pack witch is nice and maybe also to counter-balance the fact that they looked not very ripe.

4 days from the water soaking 5 had sprouted, then two more the next day, then one the following one, another one three days after.
Last two to rise took 13 days and one was a badly tortured runt.

So here i am with 9 babies with 8 of it about at the same development stage.

They are grown under a 150 W fluo, in coco with Metrop nutes

As you can see they are around the sixth pair of leaves and already branching out.

By the pictures around here i thought that the leaves would be narrower, more sativa like.

Dubi, could you tell me, please, if it's looking like i've got me an all yunnan looking pheno batch or is it maybe the "young" leaves shape.

Plan to make F2's if possible .

Edit: I've missed the last couple of pages here .. so it appears that in early life the leaves are quite fat !

Cheers

Keeping my eye on this one.Taller and lankier than the other 2 plants.Fingers crossed that it's female. The other are 2 are very identical in growth habit:shorter and stouter with bigger leaves.

Getting a pronounced lemon zest/black pepper smell on the plant in the middle when I rub the leaves...very interesting! All plants are branching out and seem very healthy. With all that said,I still like the lanky one on the right.Think I'll go back to my berth and dream about smoking the OE!They're some very interesting plants.

The plants seem to be diggin' their new sunshine:biggrin:

I'm not sure of the gender of the lanky plant;but it smells like a honeysuckle candle so I'm treating it like a lady.
