Exactly. Way too much worry over it. If it made as big of an impact as cannabis growers seem to think it does then everyone's vegetable and ornamental gardens across the nation would be in poor health and that's just not the case.Too much worry over chlorimine. Use any organic matter, activated charcoal filters, spray it in the air, let it sit, run it through rusty pipes, or do nothing at all. There just isn't that much in your water. The water company hates spending money on anything but water. They use a minimal amount, just to get it to your meter.
That's a solid vid. Good post.
anyone care to school me on KIS stuff, are their soils (Biochar) what they claim?

Long story short...the house I've moved into has a pigeon infestation problem. I have copious amounts of pigeon shit on the side of my house, it lands on concrete and use a blower to "clean" it off.
Anyways so I have extra pigeon poop, can I do something productive with this? Like throw it into the compost pile or even make tea with it? I've yet to try...
TIA

Yup that's the cool part about using food source #3. You can just plant into the base mix without cooking. Especially if you are using Recipe #2 that usually has some kind of soil mixed in that which has a bit of readily available food already. Not sure if BurnOne still frequents here but I have a few questions somebody might be able to help with. Im reading this entire thread but only on page 55. (So much awesome information, everyone with positive input rocks!)
Moving toward organics and have decided I want to first try Soil Mix #2 with food source #3 (Guana Tea and Kelp). Im doing this so I can properly cook a better soil over the next month (will get into that another day) lol. It seems like soil mix #2 with food source #3 are the quickest and easiest for my situation while I let a better batch compost. I could potentially plant right into this mix and go to town? No cooking neccesary?
Also would there be anything extra I might be interested in adding to LCs soil mix 2 that I could also benefit from using the Kelp and Guano tea as a food source?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I wouldn't add anything else to the mix. Doesn't really need anything else. It's simple and high quality already. See how it goes with the basics and then add stuff later on if you want to.
