organic ferts - asking for help

I think I've made up my mind, but I'm waiting on some info from tex before I make my final decision. Thanks hpnotiq grower for the link, I liked what I found there, and what I'm thinking about going with very well may be from Pure Blend. Thanks everyone, I'm starting to feel a bit better about this "venture" :)

I'm running Bio Bizz's Top Max and my plants are eatin it up.

That chart is cool but how the hell do you read it. It looks like to me that all the nutes, other than the Root Juice, are run at the same time.

It looks like you run the grow from week 2 throgh the flush, the grow from week 2 through the flush, the bloom from week 3 throgh the flush, and the Top Max from week 3 through the flush.

All at the same time? through the whole process? I'm confused

I tried this and it's not good defently in the end of flowering.
It give to much N to the end and the finish time is slower with to much leafs in the buds.

I am adding the grow only on the first two weeks of pre-flowering.

but the topmax is great and give great results.

grow on,
zozo

It's been a while and I'm finally getting myself ready to dip my toes into the water, so to speak. Been doing more and more research (only as of late, I had a nice long "break"), and I've finally made a few decisions. First, I'm through with soil (except for a mother plant or two); I'm going to be using a hydro ebb & flow system, vegging (from clones) for only about a week and flowering from then on. Will probably mix original pure blend and power plant (I think that this is actually how they make the pure blend pro anyway) for veg, just a little bit of each; and I'm going to go with the Flora Nova Bloom for flowering... and maybe mix with Pure Blend Bloom. Sounding better? I'm a little more "open minded" as of late lol Actually... I'm really excited about this! Can't wait to get started.

You will always need to flush. First to remove nitrogen before flowering, and again to remove excess nutes for taste.

I am soil mix /organic grower. Mix Wal-Mart Expert soil with 1 cup blood meal and 1 cup bone meal for veg. Question on soil mix, when transplanting for flowering, do you still use blood meal in the soil mix .

Thanks all for the help

I use Age Old Organics ferts, very simple, just grow and bloom formulas. I've been extremely happy with them. I use about 1 tsp fert and 1 tsp epsoms per gallon with every water until the last week of flower. I know I don't need to flush with organic ferts, but I do the last week straight water anyways.

We use Earth Juice Grow and Bloom, and Thrive Alive - that's all...

The medium is totally soiless mix. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pro-Mix HP (the HP stands for high porosity - a fancy way of saying it drains very well...). Even after it gets compacted over time, it still absorbs water very readily; very quickly and evenly - compared to any mix we've used before.

Because the soil offers no nutrient to the plant, we feed at exactly 100% of the manufacturer's suggested max dose - every watering up to flush time. This amount seems to be right about what plants require in totally soiless mixes. Makes things easy for us :) No wondering if you will be feeding this dry plant today - you WILL BE :D

PRO-MIX 'HP' is a "High Porosity" professional growing medium designed for the cultivation of horticultural greenhouse plants. The lightweight and high-porosity characteristics of this formulation provide conditions necessary to establish plant growth, especially when growing situations require high air-capacity and low water-retention media. PRO-MIX 'HP' is ideal for use with water sensitive crops, propagation of plant cuttings and/or low-light growing conditions.

PRO-MIX 'HP'is a "High Porosity" professional growing medium designed for the cultivation of horticultural greenhouse plants. During the course of crop production, it is necessary to initiate a fertilizer program. The fertilizer program selected should consider water nutrient content, crop type and stage of plant development. It is essential to begin fertilization within 7 days after planting and maintain fertilizer applications throughout the course of crop production. To insure plants receive proper nutrition, it is advisable to periodically analyze fertilizer solution, nutrient content of growing media and plant tissue throughout the production cycle.

PRO-MIX 'HP' is a peat based medium formulated to provide high air-capacity and low water-retention for use with water sensitive crops. Increased aeration results in reduced incidence of water-related diseases for healthier root systems and improved plant performance. PRO-MIX 'HP' is lightweight, porous and suitable for general greenhouse use.

Bio Bizz is good, but it doesn't provide all the micronutes that plants need. Also, they want you to use both their veg and bloom products all the time, seems like they want you to buy more product.

Here's a good feeding mix

Veg: High N Bat Guano + Bio Bizz grow + MetaNaturals Pro 3-3-3

Flower: High P Bat Guano + Bio Bizz bloom + MetaNaturals Pro 3-3-3

Then I add some soil amendments in there to help with uptake (Liquid Karma + Mycrrorhizzia (spelling?))

Hey microgrower, you do add the bonemeal in the soil that the plants will be transplanted into around flower, and I also double the amount of bone meal I use too for that transplant.. Makes my amendments @ 1-2TBSP per gallon bloodmeal, and 2-3TBSP per gall bonemeal... Plus a bunch of other stuff of course ;)

Texas Kid was talking about black gold, which I assume he meant earthworm castings, which are the SHIT!! If you people are growing organic soil without them, you should really think about adding them.

When I make my soil I add these things to the soil at aprrox these rates:
2 tbsp kelp meal
2 tbsp dolmite lime
1-2 tbsp blood meal
1-2(or 2-3 for flower) tbsp bonemeal
2 tbsp greensand
1 tsp epsom salts

All of those numbers are per gallon of soil.

The mix is about 30% perlite, 50% soil, and 20% earthworm castings plus amedments..

I've been hearing about this Calmag product and I think I'm going to get some and see how it works out. I'm also gonna get some Liquid Karma for my next grow, as I've heard nothing but good news(for the most part, as there are always unhappy people with any given product/service) about it...
