Adapting This Bucket to a Scrog

After reading the above posts, it sure makes Hydro look easy. How could you adapt this bucket system if you were using a scrog. I have pondered and the only solution I see if to use a vaccum pump when changeing out solutions . Any suggestions or ideas greatly appreciate.

I've seen a drainage hose/spigot drilled into the bottom of the side of the res. Give the res some height off the ground, and gravity would make water changes easier.

A question for the dwc crowd. Can you turn the air pumps off for a period (5 to 6 hours) without great ill effects? My flower room is 'on' during my 'sleep cycle' and the sound of the air pumps is a bit annoying.

You can Maynard if you have water movement, some kind of circulation pump moving the water around. I set my air pumps on towels or some other kind of sound absorbing material to keep the noise level down. Hope this helps.

What kind of digital Ph Meter do you peeps recommend for these? Will a blue truncheon Ec meter do?

I have a HM PH/temp meter and a HM ppm/ec meter. Both seem to work well, I calibrate them weekly. I heard good things about the one you mentioned though. I'm sure there are others better then mine i.e. Hanna.

Hanna, Pinpoint Marine, and Milwalkee are all good meters. I had a Milkwakee ph and a Milkwalkee EC meter. Both worked great!

I learned a long time ago with my fish tanks that the better pumps are much quieter...might be time to look for an upgrade.

you either learn to live with it, or can insulate it with how you set up the room. it helped me a lot!

I can't remember but I think D flowers with a 400w or 600w HPS. This system is great and since D introduced it to me so many years ago it's the only hydro I run(4 5g buckets) at the moment. This is a great way to introduce yourself to growing in water and is a great teaching tool as well.
