When I get my spirit up a little bit I will be posting some pics from my "ground zero"
The original breakdown of the supporting wall did only impact 7 plants 3 female and 4 not showing gender yet. Some of them even with a chance of survival...
That row is tottaly gone now.
The f**cking terrorists cleaning up the mess from the wall manged to do a lot more damage.
Of course they managed to arrive several day before announced while I was still away...
Since they used somewhat big machinery to dig up stones and dirt they appearantly had to go into the middle of my girls area.
One family member still @ home dug up some of the plants and put them back in...
Sadly not noting what was originally placed where so my nice system is wrecked.
Furthermore as many of you guys know rather big plants isnt too happy being pulled up and back in if we even can use the term "happy" here.
Ok so know I will get some hands on experience with that kind of work..
Not that I ever wanted that...
Some of my most beautifull girls is in a sad sad state....
And so am I....
Well I' ll stop the sobbing for now and get back later on...
At least now I m around to be on their backs not doing more terror to my girls.
WARNING: The following post contains some rather disturbing photos and as such isnt well suited for more sensitive people and serious lovers of our dear plants.
Lets start slowly with an overview of the plants as they was june 26. before things started to go wrong.
Yeah quite nice isnt it?
The rain was heavy that period and the wall supporting that side of the garden was built a few monts ago obviously not properly constructed and settled enough for the weather in that period. I shall not get into blaming anyone setting it up but just note that I had some concerns with the durability of the construction which sadly turned out to be correct.
Badabooooom
Yep the row on the edge not looking to good. Some gone down with the soil and stones others still hanging on by their teeth.
After that I went for a vacation with my daughter leaving my girlfriend back here. A deal was made with a firm to come and clean the mess up and rebuild the wall.
Horror!!!!!
Is it really that bad?
Yes it is.
Sadly the guys turned up before I got back and had to (hmmm) drive some machinery into the green area (among other areas but who cares about those hehe) to clean things out of the neighbouring gardens. My girlfriend dug several of the plants up trying to save them (well aware of my feelings for the grow). She didnt however note what was pulled from where and afterwards placed where.
Of course I should be- and am thankfull for her trying to save some of the plants but still......
It hurts very bad to see how they handled that awfull treatment.
To pour some positiveness into this section I can say that during the last few days it seems some of the plants (almost all actually) replanted has begun to show signs of will to live and slowly recovey.
To raise the mood some more lets have a few shots of surviving girls
Hollands Hope x Rheingold ladies doing quite well besides a few of the side branches impacted. Does seems like early bloomers.
Here 2 of my B3N7 X Erdpurt survivors. No preflowers yet but hope with me that they turn female. Before all this mess I almost enjoyed removing the males but after the heavy reduction I feel a little different bout that work now.
Other end... Royal Dane ladies Doing good too.
A threesome:
Left to right
B3N7 x Erdpurt - lebanese 27 x Hindu Kush (girl) - Afghan x Erdpurt
With proper cropping its still possible to get a nice view.
To wrap this post up a bit.
Im not feeling all that good having had quite a few guys into my backyard during the rebuild of the supporting wall....
As you can see not all is lost but heavily reduced. I have a hard time seeing what strains the plants replaced is. Hopefully as they recover a bit more I will be able to get some idea what is what..
It is positive to see how hard they are struggling to survive but lets face it it'll be a true miracle any of them just coming anywhere near to their original potential.
There is as of now at least 6 nice girls not really impacted by the mess and hopefully more showing up during the next few weeks so even though it is nothing near to what I set out to do there will (I hope) be some nice things to come in the next months.
@paddi Thanks man. Coming from you the words of green fingers really has a lot of weight. And yeah lets try to make it irl this year.
@esbe You thought it was worse..Man! Must say I think its bad enough for me
Will try to do the lists one of the next days. But its still pretty hard to tell the strains of the plants in the middle area. Due to the treatment they are still beyond recognition. Am beginning to get som idea of which is which but still a little to vague
Well.... finally back to do an update of the thread.
Very sorry it has taken some time but aside from the garden going through difficulties this year I´ve experienced more commotion than I like in other areas of life as well these last months.
Seems things are lightening up and the next update wont be as long as this
Lets start out by doing a status of what the garden originally set out to be and what survived.
The before list:
The after list of survivors with none or very little impact after the "attacks"
(Possible impact if any could i.e. be one or a few broken branches)
Besides the ones listed above I have 8 more plants surviving but with more damages done by removal well documented earlier on in this thread.
2 of these has been removed later on due to showing me the "wrong" sex.
Must say though that our dear plant really has shown how tough she really is and in fact a few of these mistreated babies has recovered pretty good. At least considering the state they were in at first.
As you can see approximately half the plants was killed. Im sure when trimming days come the tears will dry out somewhat but untill then.....
If all other shit the garden has been through this season wasnt enough the neighbour decided to cut the hedge heavily down so the view from her garden towards the plants are now totally open.
But she has only herself to blame if she didnt want her garden exposed onto the internet
Thought about it and decided that I didnt want to let that give me any paranoia and instead look to the positive fact that now the plants get more sun whenever the big bulb shows itself which havent been too much this year.
Must say Im beginning to worry some since the flowering is going very slowly on several plants. OK it is different strains than last year were most was harvested start october. And the weather haven been all that well either but still.....
Lets see how it goes, a good sunny or at least not to moist fall and things will probably go fine.
Now on to some pics
C99 x GG Very nice and classic xmas tree shape and coming on nicely.
If Im not dancing around it this xmas perhaps I could be dancin "on" it
A little closer:
Next to that one I have 2 Royal danes:
And a little closer to one of them:
Another corner has two Holland Hope x Rheingold not doing too bad either:
One of the goals this year was to try some more Indice dominated strains. Having 3 of the B3N7 x ErdPurts survive very fine and one Afghan x Erdpurt too (A x E though somewhat in shade by the others) gives some chance that I will get something in that area.
The 3 B3N7 x Erdpurts all were (one male has been killed) quite big plants with thick stems and leafes. The 2 remaining is about 2 meters high and really has the structure to carry some yield.
Well we have to wait and see how it goes the 2 hasnt yet been finally diagnosed gender wise.
Lets have a look at the most beautifull of them.
Of course it is the one with stem along the white pole . The one on the left is one of the ones doing recovery.
Lets move on to the center of the area which was looking soooo sad. Two of the three plants here has really come back the last weeks. The one In the back to the left I am pretty sure is one of TAS//GG x DPs. Still in the back but on the right probably is an Afgan x Erdpurt but am not too sure about that because of the light green colour which doesnt match the others with genes like that.
This is one of the things I really hate about what has happened here. Was so thorough planning and starting everything up just to end up having to guess strains.... grrr
And looking at the spot these days and how well its looking after all does make think how fantastic it could have been looking if just....
Enough of that....
Lets have a look at this group after all it is very impressive how well they have come back almost from the grave.
All for now.
Hope all of you have some good luck with your grows.
Your garden is doing beautifully now man! youve passed through bad luck and you won.. you have some VERY NICe and big plants left and believe me , some others are geetting smaller and less plants than you man.. so be happy and enjoy their happy look!
Of course things could have been even worse and I have some girls doing really good.
So I am really getting much happier these days seeing that things are getting better.
The small (160 cm) one is very well underway with some flowers.
She is really quite beautifull, not too tall, very compact and beginning to show some resin.
Top seen from one side:
Some sidebranches shot from the other side of her with a little more light:
Another of my current favorites (perhaps because of a wonderfull smell ) is the C99 x GG. Closeup:
Hollands Hope x Rheingold is getting better too. Both resin and smell is increasing. Like to see many more flowers there though:
Lebanese 27 x Hindu Kush. Still a little thin for my taste:
Overall I am starting to worry a bit as days go by and quite a few of the plants doesnt show much flowers or even the will to do some in that area.
But as with many other of natures wonders they will eventually get there.
My hopes of course go out for a dry fall to help it all out.
