DP are ya wit me??

NICE hope the weather didnt give them too much of a run for the money! Mine are looking good still 5 going strong and 1, the runt developed some stem rot....I removed the infected area but only have a single leaf blade remaining so not holding out too much on that one. The other 5 appear vigorous and classic skinny haze leaves!!!! Cannot wait but I shall!

All in all not too bad LT. They are tall plants in small pots so they probably blew over farly early in the storm and since they are just starting to develop I don't see any real damage to them.

You're gonna have your hands full with those girls for a loooong time....

I know it but thats what I am grateful for!

Feeling honored with this glorious opportunity which should have happened years ago just the thought didnt click in my brain for too long....maybe I need to cut back on the toking a bit?

Anyways DUBI and the crew at Ace are unbelievable. Got tons of freebies, papers and stickers and now they are stepping up and offering to replace my non germinating Purple OTHaze?!? Unheard of in the US seed market....Muchos Respecto para Ustedes!

Yeah these guys are #1 in my book and replacing your beans just makes them that much better. I wish all breeders had to live up to those standards.

Be sure to post up pics so we can help you along the way! Do you know when you need to plant these? Probably as soon as possible the othaze might not finish there what is the coldest night temps in June and July?

Hi dubi i have a femal oth clone taken from a plant in early flowerstage.
I was writing a few months ago(page 119) about some oth that never started to flower, she was one of them. A few weeks after the post they started to flower and i took clones.
She was outdoor till end of june and now indoor. She startet to reveg with one-fingered leafs and has now 3-fingered ones.

What do you think shoud i wait until she is more developed or can i take clones again and try to flower them. I dont want to make the same mistake again and flower a to young clone.

Thx willi

Hi chilliwilli,

Sorry for the delay in the reply. Your haze clone must be old enough
to flower properly indoors again without having the excessive stretching when is grown from seed. But i would recommend you to veg the clones properly until they have at least 5 o 7 'fingers', only then switch them to flower indoors with a 11/13 photoperiod, even lower down the photoperiod to 10/14 in the last part of flowering.

Hey dubi, unfortunately I no longer have space for her and she has to go. Had it diagonally in a veg space (400w) and can no longer justify using the space for it.

It does have a bunch of mature OT Haze x Silver Haze seeds I may pop some day.

Hi Sativied,

It's a pitty you didn't have the time or space to complete their flowering. You are a very talented grower and i was really curious to know how would they perform in your garden.

Growing pure haze indoors is a challenge, and as is stated in our description of the strain it's not worth unless you want to do some breeding with her or you are a tropical sativa fanatic.

Anyway, after seeing your great results with your Silver Haze crosses maybe is worth to explore the Oldtimer's Haze x Silver Haze hybrid.

there is some strain better than haze?

your opinion? what is your favorite strain?

Hi Fermino,

I don't have a favourite strain or sativa. Cannabis has so much diversity to offer that there's no reason to choose only one strain. Depends a lot on the personal preferences, limitations of growing variables, the moment of the day, ....

I like a lot Haze, but i also enjoy a lot other good central american sativas, africans, SE asians, nepaleses .... Haze works best in hybrids, that's why you don't see many growers growing pure Haze.

hi dubi, friends :tiphat:

this sativas are skittish, i made some mistakes in the feeding schedule (actually no feeding, just water from the seeds). Some compost teas or guano teas would help but they are starting to mature (especially one of them) so i´ll watch and think in my next move.

18L pots, all organic

best vibes always!

Hi pedrero,

Don't worry, you really did a great job with them ;)
I also like to feed gently the tropical sativas and to use only organic feeding.

As you have experienced, Purple Haze pheno gets the purple and reddish colors in the second half of flowering, mainly outdoors with the colder autumn temps. Thanks a lot for share them :) They are a pleasure to the eyes!

Just a couple of pics showing my ACE OTH. This was grown in a 5 gallon rose pot using only Jr Peters nutes and never above 400 ppm's.
I used a 315 CMH the entire grow starting out at 12/12 and finishing at 10/14 for the last 4 weeks. Smoke report to follow in the next few weeks. This plant has very low odor until rubbed and then it's a sweet mild citrus aroma - very pleasing to the nose. Finished height was around 8 foot.

Hi 2scoot,

Congrats for your patience to finish Oldtimer's Haze indoors, really nice results! :tiphat:

I love the foxtailing of your plant and its crazy tropical branching in flowering. Wish you found the experience interesting!

Don't remember exactly when I popped the seeds, It was late may or early June so they vegged while they sexually matured. I moved them to flower on 7/8 although that's still so close to the summer solstice that the change probably barely registered on them.

I see lots of preflowers, they all look like girls to me at this point but I've been fooled before so anything is possible. What I need right now is some dumb luck to A) find a fire pheno and B) recognize it soon enough to keep some cuts.

Honestly of all the ACE gear I bought last year, this was the wild card of the bunch. Unless you start with a ton of these beans and have the time, space and place to sort through them I doubt you'll find anything spectacular by itself.

If you're willing to put in the time and effort though, I think this line could be a valuable tool to infuse some of these stacked indica WLD lines with some NLD genetics and freshen some genetic pools with hopefully interesting results.

Rounded these girls up after the storm and cleaned them up and took a pic. Still have a looong way to go, these are just shy of 60 days at this point.

Hi Dawn Patrol,

I'm glad to see you are growing Oldtimer's Haze outdoors this season :) They usually start to flower in the third week of September at 37Nº latitude. Maybe consider to prune the tops to improve lateral branching, it usually increases the yield with this kind of tropical sativas.

I would recommend you to keep clones of all the different females before they start to flower so you can decide which are the best ones at the end of the season. The proof will be after harvest time and after the curing process. After spending so much time you will regret if you do not to keep clones from the best ones.

Oldtimer's Haze is a highly inbred line, you won't find in the line the same level of potency that modern hybrids deliver .... find the ones with the terpene profile and the kind of effect that you like most, and then outcross them with the right non related genetics and you will get the strenght and yield you are looking for.

Best wishes for the upcoming months of flowering!

I put my OT haze purples back into 18/6 as they just weren't ready to bloom out. I had not sex showing and they are still small albeit at some 42 days or there abouts since coming above ground. I will take cuttings and prune once more and hoping they will bush out a bit more might add some supports and ties to spread them out and tie them down. Then once it looks ready its time to flip straight to 11/13 as per Dubi's instructions. Cannot believe its already been 42 days.

Over the past decade I have moved to a more relaxed personal atmosphere with respect to plantings. Keeping veg lighting to a minimum normally maybe 1 or 2 23w cfl's on bonsai moms that are sort of kept in stasis with occasional cutting back and then when necessary reclining. Successive cuttings kept growing well have not been found to degrade. Degraded moms in the past have been found to be able to regenerate to original levels. Once its time to go for it the high wattage gets busted out for the quickest run that can be done with decent yield. Always for myself. Growing for oneself is the only way to go. Home Grown!

Its been awhile since my the harvest of the 26 week OTH - buds have dried/cured beautifully into a mellow golden color. Buds are airy but the feel of these flower are so different than anything else I've had before - they feel almost wet but instead they are super sticky, gooey if you will.
I only had one plant and its become apparent this is my go to....
It doesn't take much, just a pinner and its Joy to the World!

For me - this is THE best, hands down, bud I have ever had the pleasure of smoking!
Its no Malawi with its terrifying initial onset, instead its a very gradual climb that is easy on all the senses. It just clicks all the right boxes for me:
Long lasting - 5 hours plus. Only takes 3 good tokes to put you in euphoria. Has no tolerance build up, its the same every day. Each toke will take you to another level. Great for socializing and being creative. Relieves minor aches and pains. The high is consistent and the "UP" stays on a very high level - meaning it gets you there and keeps you there! The come down is easy and gradual, just lays you down into a nice feather bed :)
If I knew someone that wanted to try bud for the first time - this would be it!
The negatives - flavor is not great. This one will be consumed quickly if I don't put it on lock down! :)
I cant say enough good things about this one....its a 10 for me. Your mileage may vary. Peace!
