48 hours and seeds haven't popped so I carefully put them into peat cubes and a humidity dome with heat mat under an led strip 13w. I have 3 Malawi that had tails popping out that also went into peat pots. Hoping for the OT Haze to pop or I am gonna do a few more and another couple Zamaldelica!

How long to crack these OT haze beans anybody else with experience?

Did not pop after a week in peat pots on heat mat under 13w led strip....Gonna put them back in water with a bit of GA3 and see if anything happens. Should have waited for tap roots before putting them in peat. Only waited 48 hours.

LT, I normally soak in water/peroxide mixture until they crack, then transfer to either rockwool or root riot cubes... i pray they come up for you

Hi LostTribe,

based on our experience the hazes germinate much better planted directly in soil and then place the pots in a warm sunny place. Or use the germination in kitchen paper as described in our FAQ.

Haze seeds are very fresh and you shouldn't have any problem with their germination.

Let me know if you have any other doubt.

Kind regards, dubi

initially soaked in tap for 48 hours then planted in peat pellets and placed in humidity dome with heat mat under 13 watt led strip. Waited 10 days. Nothing so I pulled all 3 back out and dropped them back into tap water gonna add a bit of h202 tomorrow if they haven't popped. My Malawi came up quick but stayed in the dome too long and are lookin a bit peaked at the moment. Only started a couple and might try a few more if these don't perk up and pop out by monday.

Soaking for 48 hours, especially without increasing the temperature, doesn't sound good to me. Maybe I'm wrong but this sounds like 48 hours of head-start for the bacteria and fungi as the seed is waiting for warm temperature to trigger germination. This way the seeds will rot if they don't sprout immediately.
I think most of my failures with germination in the past have been from putting the seeds in too wet medium (paper-towel or soil) but not supplying the required temperature, which is strain-dependent. The last few years I soak for 6 hours in tap water + a pinch of worm castings. And then straight to peat + worm castings at 27*C. I've had only a single Ace seed not sprout this way and it was from an old batch.
Hope that helps!

Yeah might have been too much water and heat in the dome....the malawi are perking back up after being transplanted.

Not to worry next week I am gonna pop a few more wonder if dub still has more OT purple in stock might grab another pack just to be sure on this one....still got 9 in the sack though.

I chose the 7 old timers haze as my freebie with last order of purple Mexican. As far as popping seeds goes. For the last several years I put seed straight into soil in 10 gallon grow bags. I don't transplant sprouted seeds or small plants. This has cut way back on stressed plants for me. The tap roots are so fragile and can be damaged easily. If a plant needs supported at all after popping up. I pull it and plant another seed right away. Yes it takes up a lot of room and all my lights are on for seedlings. But for me I have better results taking me out of their lives as soon as possible. Peace

I sorta have just been ignoring the heating phase of germination. Just due to laziness for the most part. I have also been jumping around with medium with seeds rather than sticking to what has worked in the past i.e. tupperware with just moistened tp with luke warm tap and placed in cab with ambient room temps of 80 degrees then into cubes or rooters. Mainly trying to start in rooters now so i don't have to transplant into them for hydro....aero clones never really worked out so i gave up on that but never tried with hormone.

I only grew them to make hybrid seeds with another type of cannabis at that time.

So they didn't go as long as they normally would have.

It did take about 5 to 6 weeks for them to show sex though.

They are nice plants if your willing to go all the way.

If you try them get ready for a long ride.

I've already smoked purple haze thai & purple haze malawi.
Both were very mind warping. To me best high ever!

Old Timers Haze is 1st out of the gate for 2017. Dropping 3-8 New Years Eve for a Summer Solstice finish. Love the Ace regulars. There anything but. my Malawi is shedding lust dust as I write this and the Purple Haze X Malawi female is glorious. Really a stunning plant. The Zamaldelica is a quite unique standout and true to Dubi's word they all grow vigorously and with little care.:tiphat:

 Dubi.

I have dusted Nirvana's Northern Light and tomorrow I'm doing the same with my prize Sensi Star as well as Blue Dream / Truth X Sour OG / Deadhead OG / THC Bomb / Afgani #1 / super lemon haze / Skunk # 1 / Fruit Punch et AL.

Straight Noobie Pollen Chuckin' but we don't mind growin' em out and huntin' for serendipity and dealin' with mutants. Gonna spend 2017 crossing and testing and learning. What fun!

Just just dropped Ace's Orient Express for my fall harvest and also trying Sandstorm [Cannabiogen] 3 weeks or so in veg and Golden Tiger Gear just landed in JQ this morning.

I'm sold / hooked on the Ace Catalog. We intend to grow them all before 2018 is out.
Wonder if Ace Thai Stick and the Purple Haze x Thai will be reissued / or / is available anywhere?
