Oldtimer's Haze

Speaking of Purple Haze, Dubi or Charlie where does the purple phenos of the Purple haze come from. Is it from a purple columbian or from other genetics? Thanks as always for your time.

Purple Haze pheno is probably very related to the purple highland colombian sativas.

That looks like some of the most quintessential haze I've seen, It must be very pure...excellent job man ENJOY that hazel dazel

Hola Dubi!!!

I'm finally in. I've been trying to get in here now for months. I just now found a proxy site that allows me to post in here. Many allowed me to view the site but would all hickup as soon as I tried logging in.

Good to see you're busy Dubi. I tried your TIKAL my friend, I love the friggen thing Dubi... she's beautiful mate. I will have to seed it out next time...soon, very soon... as I want to keep this strain indefinately. One of the finest sativas I have ever had mate. I can't say enough about it Dubi other than you are selling it too cheap IMO. Compared to sativas going for double that price on the market, this one is FAAAARRRRR better. What a piece of work Dubi... top class mate.

I'm now trying your OTHaze - sowed only 5seeds, 2males and 3girls, kept what I thought was the best girl for my current growing conditions and gave the other 2 out to mates to finish off. Those 2 where the elongaed phenos, the off-green phenos with the longest most slender leaf blades and the long internodal spaces. I could tell that those ones would stretch heaps and I can't grow them where I am currently. Tell me what pheno you think I have here Dubi? Is it the Purple?

It is flowering very slowly, no doubt it will reach a point where it will suddely pour the flowers on profusely.

...and here's a pic of the same plant 8 or 9 days earlier in full midday sun and temps over 38degC. The lower few burnt tip blades were a result of sitting in a midday summer sun with temps of 48degC in the middle of our BLACK SATURDAY disaster a short while ago that killed many hundreds of people and hospitalized thousands... hundreds of homes were burnt to the ground as were forest. It burnt many plants that I had beyond recognition, but NOT this one. The picture above was taken on a cool overcast day, hence the lack of luster in the pic. Both pics taken with the same camera on the same settings.

Glad I could finally drop by mate.

Chat soon Dubi.:D

...and btw... does anyone know WTF has happened to Planetganja???? It seems to have suddenly disappeared from the face of the earth since 2 days ago. I contact mates overseas who posted there daily, and they too can't find it on the inet anymore.

Don't tell me they too have been closed down by LEO??? Holy shit, not again.

Hi everyone,

I feel like I'm still at OG here.:D

Hi Hazeseeker, radid, Highlighter and SenorGarcia. I hope you are all well.

I don't post as much as I use to radid. I've been resting the last couple of months due to a strange health problem/condition. Just saw the specialist a few days ago and he gave me the all clear. Had to wait almost 3months in line to see him which was a bummer, but all's well... for now anyway. It is not a serious thing, only annoying really. But I didn't know how serious it was till I saw the Specialist after I had some ultrasound scans. The condition is benign so its ok...and worry not, it's not the bad word that begins with 'c'. Though I wasn't sure of that till the scans were done 3months ago. An initial scare that turned into a fizz you could say. But I'll live long yet and i can still walk through a brick wall, if you knnow what I mean. As an old woman told me once when I was in my teens... "Old age is not for wimps.", and I never forgot that. I have a busy life, and it'll get busier soon with my return to work. So sorry to say mate, my postings will reduce too, but I will be around.

Hola Charlie:D

So nice to see you again my friend. As always.
I tried your f2 and f9 Tanskenti. Both beautiful indicas Charlie. I would not hesitate to grow them again, and I will. I personally prefered the f2's because they produced more ScrOG'y plants. The F9's were more of a SOG strain I thought, but very similar in stone to the f2's.

I also grew the JamacianBlu's you sent me... if you recall, you sent me 2 lots of them... Lot1 and Lot2. Lot2 was the better Charlie. Produced much better plants, with more vigor. Excellent strain.

I have some FS1 KaribaSuprise sativa that I just seeded from the last of my AFricanSeeds originals. I would like to send you some for yourself, and to pass onto Raco or Dubi (whoever can do them first), and some to send to the VibesCollective to keep. The letter is ready and I'll be mailing it tomorrow if that's OK with you? Let me know and it will be off.

Here below are a few plants I put in from seed that was ACCIDENTALLY produced in my last inddor grow. Only 5 seeds were produced on the indicaPheno of AMneziaHaze, and I sowed them jsut to see how they'd go. They suprised me with their vigor, that's for sure.

Hola 20thai!

It's great to see you around, long time without talking or see you posting ...
im glad to hear you are feenling better after the health problems!

Tikal is a very nice sativa, sadly she's far to be well known as other ace catalogue strains but sure she's very interesting, i like the strong hazy aromatic phenos with happy central american effect. I only helped with NL Haze selection plant and to produce the first outcross: Nl Haze x Guatemala father. Komanche, one of our breeders in the shadows have been doing the hard inbreeding work and the testing for 4 years, there are many interesting tikal lines right now to work with, not sure which tikal line you tried but the new ones are even better, specially tikal 4 line (our most sucessful original tikal x guatemala backcross) and the new tikal fem offering which is a combination between best tikal 4 line females pollinated by our best tikal reversed female from the first original outcross.

Oldtimer's Haze is a crazy wild old haze line, 20 thai friend, being an experienced sativa lover you are going to love her! I dont like to relate one concrete structure or appearance to the green or purple pheno because growing enough plants you'll find diverse structures, aromas and effect in both phenos.

The 79' thai you sent me was one of the finest SE asian sativas i've tried, she was different to the classic spicy-citric SE asian sativas, was sweet-floral, her taste and effect remember me the sativa side from DJ Shorts blue hybrids. She finished at mid December with beautiful purple colors, appearance, taste and aroma was different to the lime green citric SE asian phenotype. A marvelous experience, thanx friend.

I hope you can stay around for a while. Best wishes.

Hiya Dubi,

It sounds like you have done ALOT of work on the Tikal matey. I will wait till you have come to the point where you feel it is not much point to do any more work on it. Let me know when that happens please Dubi, and we can take it from there. As I said, the one I have is beautiful and will remain here in OZ so long as I'm around... which will be long time yet, make no mistake.

The OTHaze is the pride of my fleet in my current grow. She grew on me after she reached about 2foot tall... that is when her real beauty started to show as a thoroughbred sativa. She's as tropical as pineapple mate. I would dread to think what I could do with this beast if I lived in a lower tropical climate and someone let me loose on preparing a 1-2cubic metre sowing bed for one plant. Just the thought of it excites me Dubi. Perhaps one day mate I might leave this cold southern state and go to where the Hazes can fully finish and it's still hot for months afterwards. Where I am Dubi, as you know, I may have to finish her indoors for the last month or so. If I do, I'll have a minimum of 1,000W on her worry not... perhaps even 2,000, 1 either side. I'll play it by ear.

She is special that GK Thai mate... but don't mention GK remember?? You'll get me into trouble.

Also remember what I told you about a rare pheno she has that I call the DenseBud Pheno. It is the one you want to find for breeding stock mate, and once you find it make sure you MOTHER it for future because it's very rare. You'll know it when you've got it mate. In many hundreds of plants that I ansd many others I know grew of it, we found 1. And the clown who kept the mother accidentally let her dry out thinkink he watered her before leaving for a few days on some business he had. Then he realized she wasn't watered when he returned becasue she was dead as a dodo. What a spin, I couldn't believe it mate. Make sure that deosn't happen if you do find one.

The denseBud pheno DOES NOT produce the classical lambsbread that all her sisters do. She produces a bud that can be likened more to a hybrid than a pure sativa. She grows SOG in stature, not heavily branched, and not huge/big either. She remains relatively small compared to her normal sisters. Her aroma is also different to the others, hard to explain, but it's more acrid with slight musty overtones amongst the floral dominance. You'll know you have her about a month or two after the buds begin to form, long before their aroma starts. Find her, cross her with a special indica (preferably a well branched Indica), and watch happens thereafter Dubi.:D lolol You saw the main cola of an indoor grown Thai79 x Chronic I had posted at the Vibes which my mate grew a while back if you recall??? The cola was FATTER and BIGGER than his ENTIRE leg... and there was lots of plant left below it... that was bucket hydro under 1,600W with 4 buckets/plants. I also gave some to a mate in WAust to try and he did not seed out thinking it was going to be an ordinary grow. I receive a message from him months later begging me to send him 15 more kerns of it and he said he'd be happy to pay my over $200 for them.lolol I just sent him some at my usual price though... zilch dollars, and he promised me I was a friend for life.lololol Keeping in mind the Chronic male that was used to dust her was out-phuking-standing too Dubi. Sticky like a girl mate. Used it in many a cross before it was put to rest, and all of them were nice, certainly above average.

Find it mate, you'll be glad you did, even if it takes a while to do so... forgot to mention... she's TWICE as potent as her normal very potent sisters.

Nice to speak with you again Dubi, as always.:D

Hola SenorGarcia,

Thank you for your concern Charlie, worry not my friend, it is just another one of those things that one can live with as though it wasn't even there... and if it flares up in future and becomes too uncomfortable for me, a simple surgical procedure will lay it to rest for good. It is not uncomfortable for me now, but I'm the kind of person Charlie who does not fear doctors so I went and had it checked immediately. All's well I assure you.

The letter left mate, she's on the way, about 45 in her. If you want more, let me know.:D
