hey man i know of two products that are absolutely lights out on the spider mites. they are pretty expensive, but trust me they work incredibly well. i haven't seen the mites in my setups in two years since i got the product. check out "Floramite" and "Avid". both are incredible.

it looks, so far, like all the precautionary spraying paid off as there is no sign of the borg in the growroom so far

there is a pic of my new 5" carbon filter earlier in the thread-NEVER BUY THESE they are utterly shite. It is one of those budget slimline filters and has been failing after only a couple of weeks-and it is only attached to a 4" RVK fan. I've got another 6"phat one to put on there for the last few weeks.

this week they have had a few light feeds of nutes, a few plain ph'd water with Canna Boost, Zyme and a hint of Ripen

I chopped them down at 8 1/2 weeks. Bloody cheese went hermi-i'd argue that it was because of the drainage -or lack or it. Here's the deal-i've been experimenting with pots-tubs-trays etc and had no clay pebbles ion the trays this run.
The buckets had clay pebbles in the bottom couple of inches allowing the water to drain out of the coco into trays. The madsat were in a 35L tub with no pebbles-but the tub was on some lego bricks that raised the base just above the tray-again alloing it to drain. But the cheese were in a 25L tubs (in hindsight with too few holes in the base and sides) in a tray-so that it was sitting in too much run off and got water-logged. Pythium (or related fungi) had got a hold.
I know this because when i emptied the cheese container there was a stagnent smell and patches of orange discolouration in the bottom.
thats the theory anyway.
All in all-bit of a bummer-yield is well down and the bud-although good-is early with clear trichs.

Eddie Spaghetti! Well done bud, even id it didnt turn out how you wanted it too. Ya know, it always seems like there are problems in any grow room, and seems like you can never get it "just" right ehh? Same crapola with me man. Always trying to get "the next" run perfected. All I can say is keep the passion alive! It's tough and believe me I know. I think you still did a good job tho, and would like to see some close up dryed shots & a smoke report =)

CQ and Phantom-thanks for the kind words guys Its good to get things in perspective-i mean-things didn't go exactly according to plan but there is still enough mindbending shit hanging up there to keep me and El Presidente mullered till next crop. The positive thing about the early finish is that now i can get another one on quick and have some sticky budz growing at Christmas.

i'll pick out some decent buds and do some macros in the near future.

otherwise-i went into 14 different shops today purchasing one can of butane at each shop. Got a friend comming round in a mo for a BHO run-i introduced this dude to BHO a few years ago. First time i gave it to him to skin up-he managed to get through two spliff in which he put far too much oil but then was so immobilized (mentally and physically) that someone had to call his elderly mother to come and pick him up in the car haha Next time i met him he was carrying the bowl and extractor everywhere he went and talking bollox
