I often wonder about the direction our breeding efforts might have
gone in had we lived a few more dirt roads up the highway in Humboldt.
More specifically & to the point- one of the areas in Sunsets Western
Garden Book climate zone 15 (Think redwood trees, Jurassic ferns & great folks). These spots are noted for their foggy mornings & June gloom, heavily influenced by coastal climate. If this mix came out of that region it would have certainly been sativa dominant as they have mold problems with indicas up there & different tactics evolved. By the way in my opinion that book mentioned is essential for western property hunting as microclimate & water supply greatly dictate the life you are able to live as a gardener of all things.
Nostalgic? Guilty. Yours truly,
Tom

Hey Tom,
I've followed your thread for a long time. Some of them were epic. Your opinion is greatly valued here on the boards for good reason. You know your stuff and I have learned a lot from you. You should write a book about doing it up in nor cal. I find the old tales from up there very entertaining. Now to get to the point, I was wondering if you have any other suggestions about property hunting in nor cal you would like to share. forgive me for going off topic but I have no access to pm's because my post count isn't up to 50 yet.

peace

good post. I have always wondered what variety's would come up if we were to let strains adapt to local climates over years. too bad its just not possible at the moment. A local sativa grown by giant redwoods sounds awesome.

Was Tom responsible for the Deep Skunk 9 strain?

Good looking males...sorry to hear of their demise :(

oh............................
Bacchus
tarantula and deep skunk #9 = genetics lost
at my house.... my husband was years from
teaching my son to smoke.... ds#9 was SO soothing.
AND.... not only that but TomHill said this is not high yield, however, in the greenhouse the yield was perfectly respectable, all these years later, I know that. The deep wreck and alibeep f2 are growing as large as he said they could, and indeed, outgrowing their space. These DC crosses are nothing short of the best you can grow.
:D :D :D

I have one alibeep getting ready to go into flower and 2 outside. We will see.

I have to believe that someone out there has some of the DeepSkunk 9 seeds :)))))

Where did the deep wreck come from?
