As cultures blend now, and peoples from groups of different origins blend, we are essentially creating a *new* (yet ever-changing and evolving) culture.

African-American culture for example. In so that, the african-american culture of the 70's is NOT the same as the african-american culture of today. Much of this is due to time and cultural evolution, yet there is an aspect that has changed the culture that is due to blending of cultures.

But the new/evolved culture we have created, has not changed at the roots.

As such, people hold their own groups to heart, and can then be racists to the also ever changing groups that evolved along with it.

And so racism lives on, in gender issues, sexuality issues, and still color issues.

Look at the hispanic communities as another example. Where children living in a hispanic community in America that don't speak spanish are condemned. Some might feel as though these people are "too white". This is racism. Has NOTHING to do with the color of skin. It is cultural racism.

Of course there are. Racism is not the majority, until it gains popular momentum. Which happens in populations in spikes. After 9/11 is an example.

What I am talking happens in "micro-cultures", in a prison, or a housing complex. But this is where it starts, and it can grow very fast.
