Try the Old Quarter or it's sister Old Nickel, thyeare on Warmoesstraat just off the damn right by the station, I have stayed both places and they are clean, friendly and let you smoke as much pot as you like. Only 50 euros a night too so very cheap, I'm staying at the Old Quarter myself for the Cup.

Nice looking place, but for Americans I'd say that isn't the ideal hotel. For 50 euros, or roughly $100 USD, you get a room without a toilet and shower. Or for $150 a night you can stay at the Golden Tulip Amsterdam Centre, a 4 star hotel.

But then again, sometimes a chill place to smoke is worth more than a private bathroom.

50 Euros is about $75.00 or a few cents more....Not 100 bucks...I wouldn't be able to go at a 2 to 1 rate.....It's bad enough at 1.5 to 1..

So forget $150, lol

There are no tickets...unless you want to be a judge...there are no day pass tickets, no entrance tickets....only judge passes, and those will be available on a first come first served basis, no advance sales.

So come on and join the fun! Looking forward to seeing you all there!

I don't know why this is so difficult for you people. I've booked my trip, I booked it three weeks ago. I'm paying $150.

And when I go back in June, I'll be paying $175 to stay at the 5 star, Renaissance Hotel.

That may be so Wunderkind. The problem is you're recommending other Americans to book a room at the Tulip Inn A'dam Ctr for $150 when the price is much more than that if they try to book it.

So, bad advice really.......unless you tell people to book 7 weeks or more in advance, like you did.

Well, even 150 bucks is too much for me, I'm paying 50 europs a night to stay at a nice clean one star place I have stayed at many times before, really nice people run the place, breakfast is simple but good, the rooms clean, the service really good, and they have no problem with you smoking weed, I always have breakfast and a big black coffee with a hash joint to start the day in the bar, you can't do that in a posh hotel! The only drawback with this hotel is the lethally steep stairs, but that's true of every old building in Amsterdam, and I've got used to them now, only fallen down them once and my suitcase broke my fall. There are loads of 50-60 euro a night places in the centrum, most of them are clean, never stayed anywhere that wasn't. Even when I've stayed places where you share a toilet, the toilets were kept clean, in my experience, every small Dutch hotel has a little asian woman who keeps everything clean!

best site I can recommend is www.booking.nl or www.booking.com (same really). all prices ranging from 1* to 5* there....something to fit every pocketbook and personal taste.

That's a good tip, I've used that site a few times, like DG says, a range of prices for everyone, right down to 20 euro hostels.

Here is where I'm staying, didn't book it through this site tho, just emailed em direct as they know me by now!

Trying to save some hassle with a cumulative issue re walking I know there is no pre sales but can you say where & when the judge pass will be available like be at the polinator the 18th or 19th in the afternoon. If you have already posted this apologies for the repeat ut can you provide a link.

Just confirmed the hand blown glass cups...along with the 2nd and 3rd place awards a few minutes ago...they've done an excellent job again!...and with a few modifications this time. They are ready to be shipped to us! Soon to be in the hands of some talented growers come 4/20 Awards Night!
