Indeed the first crops I grew ceiling from standard Mexican bag seed. Some were truly special.

What I'm wondering is if by being pollinated in the second week of flower made them finish faster than if they went without being pollinated. As if the plant figured her job was done and got to finishing in about the time it takes for seeds to mature. (Actually a pretty wide window in my experience but see seeds bulging out of sacks in this case)

it wouldn't surprise me that pollinating shortens maturity
but have no specific info
there's a DJ Short quote out there about he preferred seeded bud for smoking
my own more limited experience agrees with this, seeded bud isn't stronger but it can be nicer

Speaking of popping covers off, I've found that a clamp or vice is the ticket. Just squeeze the globe until it's pulled away from the ceramic heat sink a little and then twist the base. I use a hand squeeze Irwin clamp.

Just spray everything down with water, turn a fan on and let it all dry. The pollen may have taken in a few places, but you should be fine.

If I go by what I'm seeing atm my fingers are crossed I really didn't get seeded to bad. It appears mostly some lower mugs that are fully swollen with seed. My gut was with as many hairs as I had showing it was going to be bad.

Sterile pollen in some of the girls maybe?

Is it your experience that many of the pistols that get hit with pollen do not pollinate in general?

Anything that gets hit with pollen and has a day or two to sit and take the pollen in will create seeds. if you catch the pollen as it starts to drop with a water spray, you'll probably have very few, if any seeds.

Scored a 400w cob unit( 4x(32x3w) chips
Got it at a steal so no loss if I want to break down the unit into 4 separate cobs and combine with my screw ins, what I need to know is distance from plants?
They're mounted on individual heatsinks which are mounted to fans and seemed to run cooler on the back of my hand than the screw ins so could I mount an run them on my existing screw in setup at same height?
Hope someone can help out cause I'm just itching to get it done hahaha

Hi to all guys,
after this month whit HPS light i'm back to use my DIY Led Bulb Panel.

I've do some update,

old panel :
12 Led Bulbs x 2700K x 12w x 1080 Lumen

"new" panel :

6 Led Bulbs x 2700K x 12w x 1080 Lumen

6 Led Bulbs x 3000K x 24w x 2452 Lumen

A total of 216w panel.

The old panel give me 1,10 g/w, +-160g/144w
Super super lucky

I hope this panel give me satisfaction like the old lol

I have only one doubt, the distance from bulb to bud whit this new bulb...
For now i try 15-20cm.
Tonight or tomorrow up some pic.

Hi to all i'm happy to back in this post and see your work. :tiphat:

PS. Sorry for my bad english ahahah

Geesh that's a lot of work... Wouldn't it be easier at this point to just buy a Quantum Board? A lot more efficient.

click on my signature, old grow but same chamber
actually it's a tube made from aluminum flashing, kind of looks like a white tunnel
i think that help lower temps, the metal conducts the heat away nicely

20ish id guess
it depends on the spread/room size because at low distance youll notice less spread

I work in 80x80 GB, last cicle whit 144w i've no probl whit 20cm but now i don't know the new power.

I try, Thank you HuffnPufferfish

I don't think it's a lot of work psyphish, just one hour for assemble everithing last year, now i have only to change the bulb.

I spent very little, i think total 50-60€ for cables, brackets, bulbs

now only some € for new 6 bulbs.

Some pic for understand better of last cicle.
