I was at everyone’s favorite cheap LED store, when I saw something interesting...

Anyone else seeing the trend here? The dimmable glass globe versions are killing the non dimmable plastic ones we normally use. Is the increase in efficiency due to the glass globe or dimmable driver? The bases of the two bulbs look different, I wonder what kind of setup is inside?
11w 1500 lm dimmable glass globe is the best advertised efficiency I’ve seen yet @ 136.4 lm/w!

Edit: apparently this is what’s on the inside.

PCBuds - ha ha ha very funny. Not that any one doesn’t know but just in case... pics just got Turnt by uploading them haha.
frugal minds UNITE! ID love to rub a joint on those flowers omfg!
Oh dude... you know I hadn’t thought of that but I won’t forget. I better roll me joint in the next two weeks and I’m gonna coat the outside in as much live resin off those close frosty trim leaves as possible! I’m glad you said that.
These girls are about 8wks into flower now. All 5000k all the way. Don’t think I’ll have any 2700k in any of my sockets ever again.
I might let them go one more week as I’m not seeing even ten percent amber. These pics are from a few days ago but most of all three strains trichs are almost all cloudy at this point with the Tangelo showing maybe 2-5% amber, just a few here and there.

Wow, i have 2/3rds of 2700 k bulbs I will switch to 5000s. Do you use the great value bulbs with the plastic globes? I notice some of my cfls are 6000k do I need to use those to supplement?

I have some great value bulbs that I took th cover off. They are now making purple light?
My latest bulb purchase was Phillips 100 watt dimable. They have glass globes. Some are 5000 k most are not.
Does anybody here still use the big curly bulbs that were rated 43-45 watts? I grew some big buds with those bulbs, then I switched to LED's. But now I'm starting to realize the CFL's were giving me greater yields!
I had a flower room that was rocking 8 of those curly monsters, giving off negligible heat and growing some big ass buds. I think I might go back to those days. What do y'all think?

That's weird. Maybe they're burning out in some strange way?
I say smash one to find out what kind of guts are inside.
They may not have LEDs that protrude into the globe area.
Then you would have directional SILs.
Ok you are not a good role model. I smashed a light bulb and the LEDs stick I into the bulb area. So what does that mean? Do I have to replace them all?
i'll vet this to some extentDoes anybody here still use the big curly bulbs that were rated 43-45 watts? I grew some big buds with those bulbs, then I switched to LED's. But now I'm starting to realize the CFL's were giving me greater yields!
