Also, for all the screw I s being used have any of you found some out perform others!? The 5000k daylight feit bulbs I am currently using are quite effective but they run warm to hot and I'd like to have equal 3000k-'
5000k throughout the flower area. These give me 1600 lumens each bulb so can I assume with the plastic lid off I'm getting a few more lumens!? 17.5 watt 156 mA. What do u gents say!? Here's week 2 going to to week 3 .....it's a small linen closet. I have three bulbs on two plants canopies, and a fourth bulb in the bottom canopy supplementing until I can squeeze the trigger on a new set up that does them justice. I feel 20-30 watts per sq foot sounds ideal. These feit LEDs I beleieve do put off uv b rays yeah!? I many be wrong but I'd like the cultivars to throw as much suntan lotion on as they are willing to!

From the look of the pix, your plants aren’t actually getting much light, even as close as the lights seem to be, and I’ve heard 40w/sqft mentioned as a functional minimum, and 60w+ spoken of highly.

You could put those plants under 400w-equiv. 5000k LED for less than $50. Might be worth it.

You could put those plants under 400w-equiv. 5000k LED for less than $50. Might be worth it.

Yeah that was a temp set up that had to installed because the Chinese 5 way bulb splitter I bought broke when I fell 2 feet to the floor(never again) so I replaced it with a 5 headed lamp thats completely covering the entire canopy with 3000k in the middle.
I've run thousands of hid gardens, anyone can plug a damn hps 600 cool tube and achieve bag appeal, I'm so far beyond that point ........I like these feit 100w replacement bulbs! They work great! I just wish long standing folks here would stick to the topic of the thread instead of ignoring folks questions! But NOOOO your immature high school antics are still here obviously! You can grow a cultivar Mother Nature made easy to grow yet u act like u walked on the fuken moon!

The pics I post are always under screw in leds, even mix of 3/5k 15w bulbs, covers removed.

Light is light, I have yet to see anything outperforming anything else rated at the same brightness though I have not tried running CREE super high dollar bulbs.

The first page of this thread shows a 40-45% increase in light output with the covers removed.

I don’t know about UVB output though they certainly don’t emit UVA as my transitions lenses will not darken up under the bulbs.

I just wish long standing folks here would stick to the topic of the thread instead of ignoring folks questions and acting as if this is bud of the month thread! I have thousands of pretty flower pictures. But out of respect for the thread I don't inundate them here!

Its probably the biggest (production line dense) colas I've seen since switching to my little cabinet setup.

did you make any other major changes to the cab? spectrum perhaps? intensity/side lighting? something else?

flowers look different than before.

No changes. 5” soil pots sitting in clone trays with 1/4”-1/2” of tap water wicked up from the bottom. Same screw in lights, ventilation, etc. I rarely run the same thing twice so it’s probably just different genetics looking different.

Speaking of different genetics, veg is currently Ace Seeds A5Haze x Malawi and two selections I did of pure purple haze also from Ace Seeds. I know, I know, they look TERRIBLE - I hosed them in a baking soda solution cause theres PM around my house this time of year and I got heavy handed with the baking soda. I’ll be putting a scrog screen in for those in a month or so when they’re ready. It’s time to curse life and see if I can manage 20+ week sativas in a little box!

This thread, blynx's cab thread and El Tigre's threads are the best SIL ones i can think of off the top of my head. if i left anyone out it wasn't on purpose.

While I haven't posted in it recently, my original micro thread started out CFL and has transitioned into LED using the same grow boxes. Terpene's also doing great stuff with the screw-in LEDs. He's posted pics and info in this thread too.
