Give me a break - I'm not a fucking idiot KINGPIFF - I know what libertarianism is and I've been a libertarian long before Ron Paul came around as a presidential candidate.

Has he actually said that he will support and enact new legislation concerning weed? I have only heard from him and Hillary of how terrible the Republicans have led our country. I will never vote for a candidate who only tells how bad the last administration has done or their opposing candidate is doing. What I need to know is WHAT they, will do. For any candidate to base their campaign on bashing the past administration, or bash the opposing candidate for what they or their party has done, reveals to me but one answer. No plan of action. Obama, Clinton, McCain, Paul, or whoever, can't give streight answers for fear of offending a voter. Listen, I have formed these opinions over 50 years of voting for some winners and some losers, holding my nose and voting for a stinker, or simply choosing the best of the losers who are candidates. Start a new thread and get on subject. Hate and haters is emotional and we dont need emotion to enter into choosing a candidate, we need streight answers to basic questions. Example: What is your stand on Marijuana? Do you really think a candidate will answer that question.. if yours has answered that question, I ask you to quote him or her and reference your quote... yes I have already seen RP's. Gobbler
KINGPIFF said:A Liberal and Libertarian are the total opposite.
Liberal-
Liberals are in favor of government-funded programs, most specifically those that address inequalities that they view as having derived from historical discrimination. Liberals believe that prejudice and stereotyping in society can hamper the opportunities for some citizens.
For this reason, liberals have been labeled "bleeding hearts" and "tax and spenders" in reference to their support of public policies that address restricted access to health care, housing, and jobs.
Libertarian-
The political platform of the Libertarian Party reflects that group's particular brand of libertarianism, favoring minimally regulated, laissez-faire markets, strong civil liberties, minimally regulated migration across borders, and non-interventionism in foreign policy that respects freedom of trade and travel to all foreign countries.
There is 1 candidate running with a Libertarian view of things. I will let you decide that 1.
rootfingers said:why is having doing nothing in Washington a bad thing? I see Obama as freer of the lobbyist for it.
Kendo The Green said:They all do. Its considered a feather in the cap for a lobbyist to work on someones campaign.
The lobbyists cease all lobbying during their employment in these campaigns. However. . should the candidate you campaigned for win the office you have already won a great deal of leverage over other lobbyists.
DirtDevil said:So obviously Obama is going to win the presidency.
Does anyone know exactly where he stands on the marijuana thing?
I heard he smoked bongs and inhaled.
