I apologize. I didnt realize it was safe to run a 4K grow room on radioshack timers and extension cords.

just because you are using 5-6 different wall outlets (receptacles) doesn't mean you are using 5-6 different circuits.

of course i made sure they were seperate first. if i didnt they would blow the circuit in 10 seconds anyway you cant put 2 light on a 15 amp circuit

you should think about reworking your room to be more efficient. what's your set up like? pics? while pulling juice from different circuits, you've seen what can happen when there's a weak link.

ever thought about a flip box, or something? cut your lights in 1/2, power consumption, and heat too.

i can help ya a little with a sub panel from the washer/dryer circuit. not an electrician by trade but i know a few things lol.

get a 15a plug to put on the cord.

rethink your grow room before you burn down your apartment. extension cords aren't meant for a heavy draw for 12-18 hrs a day. they are usually cheap wires, cheap insulation, and subject to breaking, or overheating during long term use.

check out the pollution factory in my sig. i'm running 2k in a 8x6 room and using 4 1k bulbs to do it. also have a dual duct 12k btu a/c in the room, and a couple floor fans.

i have a feeling you're gonna burn something down if ya don't dial back the electricity a bit or can fix the electrical set up. i've fried cords before, and thankfully i was at home, cuz it could've been very bad. since then i've decided to upgrade everything so it's right, as well as safe. not saying you're stupid or anything, but it seems ya might be in a bit over your head in terms of doing this safely and more efficiently.

wire nuts got it. your saying home depot will make me the 15 amp cord? if so can you give me directions on what to do after i buy it? will the cord have the 3 prong plug attached to it already with just wires on the other side?

they do have some ready made wires with plugs and bare ends, but they are more expensive than making one. are you wiring this directly to the a/c? splicing the wires? or just installing a plug? you have an option to do 1 of the 3 but some are safer than others.

at this point you have a 10 ga. extension cord, and a cord that the plug has been cut off of right?

all i have is the 10 gage extension cord thats it and i wanna cut the ac cord and hook that up to the extension cord. just a heads up if i dont buy another cord at home depot il have to cut the extension cord i already have if possible.

should i just go to home depot and buy another cord where one side is wires and the other side is a 3 prong plug?

tribal seeds stop posting in this thread get the fuck outta here i dont even know why i was talkin to you

they do sale appliance extension cords, that are made for higher watts and amps if an extension cord is a must. Next time feel the cord every now and then and feel how hot it gets.

The Cord should never get hot, lord knows how much extra hydro you used with that small resistive cord, and I have to say I cringed when I saw your picture, you are lucky you didn't burn. Iron is right this is all really shitty advice man, running your A/C is not safe with an extension cord. A fridge uses about four amps. And a/c unit can use 3 times that easy, thats why they get there own circuit. Yiu are definatly taking an risk for convinience. Just because there is a circuit breaker doesn't mean somebody can't come along and torch a house with to many things on one circuit.

Good advice, don't sleep at night!!

dont know what that is? these fuckin screws are hard as shit to get out gotta charge my drill again. if i cant get this last screw out im fucked! whoever invented these type of screws is a dickhead
Your having a hard time because your plug is all melted and your useing a drill for a job that should only need a screwdriver, its called a robertson and its an industry standard for electrical shit.

be easy on tribal. he doesn't wanna see ya burn the house down, but i think he may be a voyeur wanting to watch how this plays out lol.

go to hd and get a new plug. that'll get it running. buy a gfci outlet and replace the outlet for the a/c too.

before you put anything else into flower. don't add any more lights, or a/c, unless you have smoke detectors AND a fire extinguisher. sadly, even those won't stop your house from burning down. before you move forward with anything else, finish up your flowering run and get your electrical system up to par. we can help ya do that even having a neighbor below you, as long as they have a job, and you have time while they are gone.

is the 220v connection in your apt.?
