absolutely gorgeous plants and frosty buds:yoinks::yoinks:

Hey guys. Thanks for stopping by. Yes... Very close. I am even wondering if the Raspberry is going to make it till the full moon. Can't believe its already almost coming down. This ganja-growing stuff is AWESOME. Couldn't have done it without ICM.

I love this time in a grow. I feel like I am past caterpillars. not that I am stopping the weekly BT and daily inspection, but there are barely any moths around now... anything that was gonna hatch, should have hatched. Any eggs that were unhatched as of a week ago should have been controlled by the predator wasps. I'm feeling like I have dodged the caterpillars...

And the rain. I didn't get hit as hard as many by the early rain and I looked at the 15 day forecast, which takes me up to my first harvest. No rain in it. Can they predict the weather in California with 15 day prescience? Dunno. In El Honduragua, the weather couldn't be predicted for the coming 12 hours. Anyhow... I'm hoping for "the dryness," as my daughter would say.

That first harvest ont he new moon is probably going to consist of the Berry White, Goo, Razzberry and Afpak.

Enough blathering, right? (Jon Stewart singing voice:) Here's the pornography!

Berry White... her buds are going to be very long slender clusters.... slender in comparison. I will take some beer bottle comparison pics this coming week. She is developing a very unique spicy berry musk odor. I gotta say that this is in my top 3 in terms of anticipation.

Grape Ape #2. This is the plant that I am pretty sure is Grape Ape now that its flowering beside my trusted Grape Ape. Came labeled as Chem D x Blueberry from the garden that I have begun to call the "Ellis Island of clones." This one is purpling faster than the confirmed one, but they otherwise look and smell the same.

Now for a strain as yet unveiled in this thread. AfPak.

While trying to sort out the whole Ellis Island situation, in which clones were given seemingly arbitrary names, or names that only hinted at their true identities, I was looking for as much info as possible on all the strains I supposedly had. I could not find anything about the Afpak. So I am going to blather on about it for a minute so that the next grower looking for some info

The name, to me, says TRUE KUSH in a way that many other strains, supposedly true kushes, are not. The Hindu Kush, mountain range lies on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Our culture borrowed this geographic nomenclature and turned it into a word that starts fights between stoners. Its kinda funny. I have tried to disconnect from this meaning we've applied to the word and choose to see this AfPak as the ultimate expression of kush in terms of its origin.

Its incredibly dense and resinous... Amazing yielder for the amount of space it takes up. Will finish by the first new moon in October. In the black box we took her down on day 56. Loves PM (got rust in the black box) and should probably be given regular haircuts thru veg to promote bigger growth and keep mold to a minimum... If you could promote a better stretch, you'd maybe do better with the PM. I have a fan blowing on her outside 24/7.

I would not grow this again, but respect it a lot and think it would be an amazing breeding strain. I have never grown or seen Deep Chunk in person, but from what I know about it, I think they may have some traits in common. If I chucked pollen I would be looking for a haze male to cross her with.

Your afpak pic on top really looks like an OG. I think you are right as far as the Kush genetics. How do I take good close up photos with my camera? When I get close to a bud it always focuses on the background. Is there a special frosty bud zooming setting? I had never taken a bud pic till the last couple days and want to share my greasy buds too but they turn out fuzzy. Any advice?

That is Grape Ape. It is the same as Purple Urkel, Grandaddy Purps, Barney etc etc. Very distinct look and if you can let it go till end of October she will get devastatingly dark. I grew her for a couple solid years. The mold still haunts my dreams. But some of the best smoke ever.

the little tulip setting usually gives you the best setting for taking pix of flowers. "dutch flowers". hmmmm.

it looks nothing like my OGK.. or any of my chem cousins for that matter. See the postcard of my chems on the last page. This thing is a very dark, squat plant. The most "indica" of anything in my garden. OG is a really nice hybrid from what I see... I really like it for outdoor... if it finishes in time. I am a little scared, but it seems right at pace with other plants I am expecting to come down in week 2 or 3 of October.

so far, no mold on those apes. you sure about them all being the same? I have something totally different that came to me as GDP. There are pics of it back a few dozen pages in the black box. Looks nothing like the Ape I have. I wasn't so sure about it being GDP because it wasn't very purple, though it had a "purps' smell...if you know what I mean. We had to take it down early because of botrytis, but on the last two days it purped out quite a bit... so I still call it GDP. Right now its mostly yellowish... like it was in the black box. If it ain't GDP, I dunno what it is. Always open to suggestion. Oh... My OGK seems like its going to look like yours. But its not as far along. Boo. I have a small clone mom out that is way further along. I'll take more pics of them later in the week.

Our OG's are very far along. We are going to harvest a bunch on WED. I will take some pics of them going through the Twister. My later ones look like your Afpak.
