Rainy days. Today is the day that the Lake County Board of Supervisors meeting convenes to discuss a terrible draft ordinance that would govern MMJ dispensaries and grows in the county. No way we can let anything like this pass.

Hey, speaking of greenfields, I just got a quote for 10 pallets from Peaceful Valley @ 8.99 per bag. What did you end up getting it for? The perlite for11.89 per 4ft. If you have found a cheaper source let me know. I am still unsure if I am going to supplement it with a calcium product yet.

Anyone know of a good source/tutorial for 250-500gal compost tea brewers?

8.99 before tax. Something says that I shouldn't get these delivered to the site. Do you think it is safe? I was thinking a rental truck. so that i could just pull it up to the garden and unload.

nomaad,

last yr you had success with the blue dreams, i scooped 4 when in the bay and was gonna throw em in my greenhouse and rock em uncovered til sept1 then finish covered. im around 46n, little west of pdx, what do you think of their res to mold and how soon did yours finish comparatively? also scooped some cheese haze, do you think these would do well up here?

you lived up here once long ago right?

best wishes for your green season.

Not a single sign of mold on the Blue Dream... she was out till Oct 24th. I have no idea what cheese/haze u picked up, but Cheese is a Skunk #1 pheno, which should have pretty high mold tolerance, but I can't really know for sure because I have never run the strain.

Yeah... I lived in PDX for a year or so before I moved to el Honduragua. Great city. Bad cops.

Thanks, and good luck to you this year too.

Medi-nice. I paid 10.48 per bag. That cost includes delivery to my house. I'm not really worried about Ag deliveries. Those guys deliver to hundreds of grows every year. The driver for Ag Unltd is a good friend of my homie who owned a shop until last year, so I feel extra comfortable. I also live in a neighborhood. Its no secret that I am growing ganja. Your own security needs are specific to your situation, I guess.

We (Central Oregon) Get freaky hail storms in Aug. We have the last couple of years, I need to go back and find a few pics, I know I have them!

Nomaad, did my response help? What is the number you r thinking for that Greenhouse 15' x 16'?

Horsemouth: I have decided to run all 30 plants per 15x16... except they will be enlarged to 15x20. i'm just going to keep them all in smaller pots. if i need to move some out, I can. I will have a space set aside for an overflow black box in a new garden space I am opening up. just in case.

Nomaad- Found those hail in August pics. Used a pencil for sizing, I was watching it smack down so hard for an hour and thanking god for the GH. Also found some visitor pics around the GH.

So, no trenchs in the smaller GH, just pots/buckets?

We've had 4 days of 50 +mph gusts out here in the desert. Can't seem to get my little ladies outside to harden off.

So... it was a very nice sunny day... according to accuweather, the first of many. No rain in the free 15 day forecast. How nice.

That said, I am a little worried about my plants. Many of have droopy fan leaves with stiff petioles. The plants look otherwise helathy. They can't be thirsty... overwatered, maybe? I'll take some pics tomorrow if it persists. Any thoughts?

Horsemouth: the "smaller GH" is not a GH... its just a hoop structure to support light dep tarps. And yeah... I am thinking a bunch of pots. Is that a rattlesnake?

maybe see how much of a temp swing you are getting at the root zone? (glass aquarium thermometer) when it gets really cold out i have to close my vents, (im indoors of course) my soil cools down and heats up rapidly, i get some weird reactions. usually combined with a little too much watering. roots dont get to breath as well and the leaves lose some shine along with the petioles act weird. some limp some rigid.

interesting... there are def HUGE temp swings these last few days. 75-80/day vs. 35-40/night. i had stopped useing the heater, cuz I want the ladies to be very cold tolerant when they go outside in a couple of days... but maybe its time to fire it up again.

note: got banned from thc f*rmer after 3 or 4 posts. a bunch of heads from here recommended that I join THCF... lots of really knowledgeable folks etc. Strange.

Man, I've cranked UP my heaters the past two nights. Damn cold..should be getting better though. I would bet that was it. Maybe cold paired with a little overwatering.. Hopefully you'll see them snap out of it with the warmer weather.
