just want to say thanks for everyone who posted on this subject. im on my 1st soil grow and have been having similar problems and answered alot of questions for myself based off all the information supplied in this thread. even though the flames started to get hot - it got across some information that helped multiple people.

there are always so many conditions and possibilities that can either help or hinder us in our gardens - and its great that we have a knowledgeable community we can come to and pool it all together.

i say thanks! :rasta:

glad it could help kovenant. helped me a ton i know that haha

thanks a million stitch. think i missed your comment somehow but thanks belatedly

well, this is off-thread, but i want to show off a little bit of what a healthy plant can look like under floro's, one with a little training and no overwatering or nute problems :bashhead:

Chrystal, veg'd four weeks, bloom'd eight, LST'd last week of veg and first two of bloom:

just cut her down this morning so i'm not sure on harvest weight, but this one will hold a special place in my heart. my first LST, and what promises to be the best bud i've grown so far :canabis:

hope all is well everyone!

Awesome dude; you are going to get some nice smoke; just shows that you don't always have to have HID lights to grow good smoke!

hello again, if anyone is still here i'm having some new problems with a new strain i'm trying.

its bagseed, though i was told it is jack herrer. it was kicking ass in veg, but after a few weeks in bloom some serious yellowing started. i upped the nutes, put in some cal mag, and double-checked my ph. not sure what is up at this point.

let's see, soil is Sunshine 4, mixed to a 60/40 perlite blend. i water according to the weight of the pot, so i'd be very surprised (though it is possible i guess) if overwatering was the culprit like last time. here's the nutes

ph is around 6, water is purified through brita-filter then oxygenated in five-gallon bucket for at least 24 hours, usually 48. i had some problems with heat right when the issues began, though two days ago i adjusted my intake/exhaust system and now it is not getting over 85 deg (i use a co2 bucket too).

and the progression, starting with week two and ending in week three. looked like a cal/mag/nit def, so i double-checked the ppm and increased my bloom fert with a little grow fert and cal-mag for two waterings. i feed with every watering, and have not had problems with the other plants.

thanks in advance for any help. mynamestitch, i was reading in your guide and from what i can tell it might be a phosphorous def. too... (??)

You should not have increased your bloom fert's, you are now causing zinc to become locked on, the first 2 pics of the plants you posted shows zinc being locked out, as the rest of the plants, it's nitrogen/magneisum problem, I bet the high levels of phosphorus is causing a problem with magneisum, because phosphorus, mag and zinc go hand in hand together.

I would flush the plants out a bit and add some grow to the mixture as long as you have more than 3 weeks left of flowering. I can tell the plant is still suffering from the heat issue you had, the leaves look like they were under heat stress, you can't do much more to make them recover than what they already have except to ensure no more heat issues.

So flush out your plants a bit use a few gallons on each ones being affected with the zinc issue.

You may have to flush the mall out and when you do, use nitrogen, and magenisum, do not worry about the zinc, once the phosphorus amounts rinse out of the soil the zinc will come back.

You never had a phosphorus deficiency.

You using RO water?
How much of each nutrients are you using, how often with how much water?

cool, i'll rinse her out tomorrow. why do you think it was just this one plant? genetic sensitivity to nutes and heat different than the rest? you can see the jack on the far left, in the middle, the other two plants in the same tray having gotten the same everything are doing good as far as i can tell. (the yellow super ice in the middle back wasn't quite ready for bloom and stretched a bit much, pulling out most of the nitrogen, but its two weeks further along than the jack, and buds are looking good so unless you tell me different i'm not concerned with her).

my water is brita-filtered, then air-pumped, but not ro'd. the ph is right around six.

i'm using 5ml per liter of water, just following the directions on the jug. after the rinse should i ease back into bloom ppm or just go back to the normal schedule right away? thx :respect:
