10 months after harvest, all I can say is that this Haze is great I've sat several times to write a follow-up smoke report but once I get high on it, I want to say so many things that every time I decided that right then I didn't have the time
It has an "all-aroundness" that makes it perfect for all occasions, from wake & bake to right before going to sleep. Very positive and social. Everybody likes it, first-time smokers and heavy smokers alike, which I rarely see. It's not on the top of the charts in any separate aspect, I've seen more trippy, more emotional, more giggly, more speedy, more clear and focused, yet this particular Haze plant has an impressive balance of all these qualities. Complexity and completeness are words that come to mind.
The jars have delicate sweet lemon smell, which is not very impressive, as is the looks of the very small semi-fluffy buds. But the smoke is very smooth and non-expanding. It's among, if not the, the least irritating smoke I've tried. Yet it is thick, somewhat woody but sweet; sour, sometimes metallic on the tongue in the first moments, then the sweet kicks in. If you leave more leaves in the bud, the flavour starts to remind of pipe tobacco. The residual taste is the best part of puffing it - it's of slightly over-baked milky biscuits with chocolate cover. The more ripe buds have their biscuits more over-baked to the point of adding some spice, while the younger ones are more sweet.
The more ripe buds (at the top of the plant) have a calmer effect, the excitement is more subtle. I recently finished a jar from the top of the plant, been smoking it for 2 months, and after switching to a jar from the more immature buds, I'm not sure which one I like more, I like them both Even though the immature buds are more speedy, they are still never uncomfortable, nervous or paranoid.
Half-jokingly, I sometimes wonder if the Haze brothers story is not made up, and Haze is not called Haze exactly because in high doses, especially when you are tired or after a long day of abuse, you find yourself in the middle of a very specific comfortable dreamy almost-visual (it would be of white color if visible) haze, your body sitting there light and refreshed, but the head being completely in the clouds, still with extreme clarity but focused somewhere far away, like dreaming with open eyes.
When not tired, if I smoke more, I initially get a pleasant body and emotions rush, but when continuing to smoke, instead of making the experience heavy, dirty and introvert, I come to a ceiling which is of pure sensory and emotional enhancement, which is the closest I've got to a small dose (or after-peak effects) of true serotoninergic psychedelic. Extreme clarity and eyes wide-open for what's happening around you, coupled with blissful excitement. You have sparkle to your eyes, and not unfocused thoughtful look. It's a ceiling but what a ceiling. Several times I've felt the desire to climb more than this, followed by feeling of shame of wanting too much enlightenment of my everyday medicine. Euphoric ego games while walking in the crowd on the street. It's psychedelic.
