The trichs are still small and crystal clear. No strong smell, only when you put your nose in the buds - but then it's very pleasant, hard to define but it's mainly flowery.
@ Yoss33: Wow man amazing log! that Haze is huge how tall is that lady? nice to know the papaya turned out good for a early chop but man that haze is huge. cant wait to see pic update. im a little late but im tagging
It's about 4 meters tall. Here a friend who's a big guy was half-caught on the photo by chance, nice for size reference...
And the trunk with a 1L bottle for reference:
Eventhough I restored the upward position of the main stem after the storm, most of its big branches remained bent to the side on which the plant fell, its perfect cone shape is now messy with some branches very close to each other and empty spaces elsewhere.
Actually the plant lost another big branch (after I took these photos) to a falling dead tree, which I cut but didn't think will fall that far...
And 3 tops, the last one being the main top (not a good photo though):
On some buds the pistils are mostly brown, but there are no purple leaves, I don't know if the temperature has been dropping too low a few days ago, now we are having several days of 6*C - 20*C.
Looks great bro! Man I'd love to run some hazey females like that outdoors but I'm afraid it wouldn't be able to finish.. Maybe just 1 or 2 for kicks and to see what happens. Peace!
That haze is a beast yos33! I think she's the best looking plant I've seen this year. In my experience this sort of sativa will begin to show her true colors after 6 months sealed away. Thanks for the shots friend.
Thanks for the compliments, people! Oceangrownkush, you never know until you try. Many people say you can't grow a pure sativa at 45 degrees away from the equator, but see, it actually is not always true. You have to try in order to see what's possible at your particular place in this particular year... and with a bit of luck you'll be happy! I am lucky this year and I'm happy that I took the risk.
Hey, bushweed, to be honest I also think it's the best looking sativa on the forum this season, hehe, but it wouldn't be very humble of me if I said it first, would it...
Of course, it's true only because you and Kanga are in the southern hemisphere and out of season Thanks for the inspiration, man!
Me inspecting the Haze A friend took a few photos of me (was at 20.10.2012) so that I have what to show to the grand-children while telling the the stories, hehe. The other photos are too revealing to post.
No rains, but not much sunshine either these days. The morning temperatures are closing to freezing point and the Haze is losing its old leaves, and the pistils have turned brownish/red. The smell is increasing, I can feel it from 10 meters away, it's flowery with some sweet fruit tones appearing, some buds smell of peach/papaya/mango kind of fruit.
It's funny because I grew Papaya next to it and it didn't smell of Papaya in the end, but the Haze does.
I harvested the Haze yesterday evening (13th of November)
It could have gone longer, no temperatures below zero in the 10-day forecast. But the surrounding trees and bushes all lost their leaves and the Haze stands out as a big green bush among brown, yellow and grey landscape. It became visible from a trail used by villagers and shepards that is only 40 meters away, also from a not-so-distant neighbour's house, and that was too risky, so I chopped it.
Photos are crappy because it was late in the afternoon (evening). Harvest was carried out during the total black of the night, for security reasons... a nice trip it was.
I simply don't have the space to hang such big branches, so most of it is drying on the ground, I didn't want to cut these big branches into parts, now they'll dry slower.
