It was a very nice grow man, congrats for the harvest ! I'm sure the smoke will be very good...
We had surprisingly good weather here at 47*N: today was the first frost but in the rest it was a nice autumn. Nice and sunny, 10-15*C and only 2 or 3 days of serious rain...
Next year I'll surely try some Super Silver Haze outdoors and see how it goes.
Enjoy your work !
Peace, HJ.

Thanks, man!
Indeed the season was great. Lets hope 2013 will be as good.

And a glimpse at the Haze trunk, I'm amazed at how difficult it was to dig it out of the ground.

Thank you, people! :tiphat:
It was a pleasure growing and sharing the progress.

I already put in jars 2 branches that broke off earlier, and have no idea how I'm going to manicure the rest of the plant - it took me about 2 hours of trimming per jar, it's insane!! Maybe I'll have to skip trimming the smaller buds and throw them together with the leaves for hash.
The buds are small and fluffy so the yield is not much, maybe about a kilo, but the trimming required will be for like 5 kilos :)

beautiful log yoss33! that stock is huge been a while since ive seen one like that. I have a friend up in a state called Maine with a walking stick made from a haze stock and its pretty sweet its all craved and stuff. Not a bad yeild on the haze for the season. Love the log man and are u gonna do a smoke report in here on the 2 strains?

I've been waiting for the buds to cure a little before sharing impressions, and besides I'm still busy with manicuring the Haze and filling the jars :)

The Papaya which is more than a month in the jars is starting to bring out its true flavor. It's not something exotic, actually instead of papaya I got quite generic dutch afghan flavor. It's smooth, rich and sweet, like skunk #1, without any bitter harshness, and puts out unmistakable afghan flavor on exhale (brings memories of Afghan #1 which was harsher).
The high is comfortable, calm and happy yet thinking. It is not foggy, it's actually very clear and doesn't tire, nothing like the advertised "almost narcotic" effect. This makes it good overall weed with universal all-day happy high, but is not what I expected to get - an indica that would surely but comfortably put me to sleep, and strong enough for medical use by a family member.
I smoke Haze the whole days, and in the evenings the Papaya is fairly unable to relax the electric sativa effect and make me sleepy. I have to smoke a lot of it to bring me down, and maybe it's just the insane Haze high, but I prefer to take another hit of the Haze and go to bed falling asleep with kaleidoscopic visuals, than try to make myself sleepy.

The Haze is nothing short of impressive, even at this early stage of curing.
It is very, very smooth. No irritation on the throat and no "lung expansion". I can take big hits from the pipe as easy as puffing. The creamy spicy taste is thick and stays long in the mouth.
The high is so clear that I sometimes wonder what the heck I'm smoking.
It's so natural on the body no matter how much is smoked (and I tried!). I never felt any negative body sensation. Heart is always calm, no anxiety, no tension. No paranoia either.
It has such a clear natural feel that it begs for being smoked more of :) I must say that I haven't smoked more "more-ish" weed since the last time I used to regularly smoke Haze which was about 10 years ago. It's just so pleasant when pushed. And so clear that even when you are very high, it somehow feels as if parts of you are completely sober. The wicked psychedelic feeling of being too sober.
It's really a complex high, and sometimes I feel like I would like less of this so-high-and-in-the-same-time-so-normal psychedelia, sometimes it's too much when you just want to relax. It's like taking mushrooms every evening. And then I just go and take another hit, it's this crazy it-feels-too-much-but-I-want-more :)
A very enjoyable trip.

Very nice smoke reports, thanks for sharing !
If you'll have such a great weather next year, you should try different strains and see what you find.
If you like Haze, I suggest you to look at some strains from Mr. Nice, they could work wonderful in your climate. They have lots of Haze crosses, and some good indicas as well.
Enjoy your smoke !
Peace, HJ.

A few shots of the Haze buds.
Some of these buds are more brown because they were quickly "cured" by closing them not dry enough in a jar, letting them stay for 5 days with just occasional burping and then bringing them out to continue drying before mold starts. Some fermenting takes place that results in very smooth smoke and taste, kind of like a proper long cure.

Hi,
The Full Moon x Eldorado didn't impress. Out of 7 plants (4 grown by me and 3 by friends) none was good, at least not as good as the Full Moon mother. 1 plant had a church incense aroma, was funky to smoke, but as with the rest of the plants potency was low. Only one plant had a high that was nice, after smoking at least half a joint, and this was actually the only of the plants grown outdoors on a balcony.
I suspect that the Eldorado pollen was impotent and the seeds were actually fathered by wild hemp. I can't explain in other way the severe drop in potency compared to the Full Moon mother.

Thanks for that yoss, I remembered your royal flush grow and how you liked that with its oaxacan parentage, so I thought the cross may have been interesting, too bad at least your haze is great. Yet to see any Eldorado grows that turn out.

Looks perfectly grown!

Looks perfectly grown!

No rains, but not much sunshine either these days. The morning temperatures are closing to freezing point and the Haze is losing its old leaves, and the pistils have turned brownish/red. The smell is increasing, I can feel it from 10 meters away, it's flowery with some sweet fruit tones appearing, some buds smell of peach/papaya/mango kind of fruit.
It's funny because I grew Papaya next to it and it didn't smell of Papaya in the end, but the Haze does.

The whole plant:

Great thread. I blew through it quickly to see the progression of the pictures of the Haze, and to see if you got it to finish nicely. I'll be going back to read carefully. What a nice job on that plant.

Impressive to get such a great compliment from Bushweed, who has posted many, many big and gorgeous plants.

:respect:

top notch grow and smoke report

Couldn't have said it better myself.

All grow threads need to be like this Outdoors, organic and sativa!

Very well documented and the pictures are great too. Thanks for sharing this amazing outdoor haze experience with us all!:woohoo:

maybe an update on the haze smoke after a nice long cure? Right about now they should be at their peak!
