Nigerian Haze ~f1 Isolation / Preservation Project

I've been off IC mag for a bit. The Nigerian Haze preservation project was a success. There were 2 females and 3 males. One male exhibited the more Nevil Haze traits.

The current project is JJ's Nigerian F1. This is The first version made. JJ selected the most nld hazy male from Nevil's original pre-90 5haze and the Nigerian Silk clone only.

JJ "from the original Sensi pack before they changed the design". These were just repacked 5haze from Nevil's The Seed Bank

The pack was provided by Chemtentflodo on IG.
5 made it through embryo rescue. 4 females and 1 male. These are the siblings of JJ's selection of JJ's Nigerian that is in Nigerian Haze and all subsequent lines.

I am very excited about these. This is an original C5 male to a pure sativa. All plants are exhibiting the curl leaf mutation or the original Nevil's 5haze.

There is only 1 that is the stature of a hybrid. The NL5 in there. The others are equatorial haze build. From 15-year-old pack to 15-year-old pack reaching all the way back.

I will also say great to hear from you @Stoneguru and get an update on this project.

I have such limited knowledge but do greatly appreciate the dedication and thorough details you provide on every journal of yours I took the time to read.

This one is obviously very special and looks to be a great success so far. I’m following along just to see you succeed. I feel like a distant cousin watching from the hospital lobby if that makes any sense……

Doing even limited updates here is understandable and appreciated.

Kudos to you all!!!

Thank you @Airloom 🙏🏼. I hope your journey for your ol'Thai is coming along too!

I looked back on this thread and realized I didn't conclude the Nigerian Haze (JJ's Nigerian x O-haze) preservation report before jumping into JJ's Nigerian.

There were some sharper notes and incense, but she was fully seeded so I didn't get the best impression.

The seed was included in the 2024 haze collection.

The male was definitely favoring the 5haze side and had the mutations and a strong stem rub. The goal was accomplished of preservation, but there was only 1 male so only one version

I will rerun this cut and get it a little of the JJ's Nigerian pollen.

This would effectively be an out-back. JJ's selection of JJ's Nigerian/O-Haze crossed to the JJ's Nigerian male In this collection. That may open up a range of potentials that get somewhat bottlenecked.

Very grateful. Family is wonderful. We are almost done building the primary features of our off-grid cabin. Been saying that for awhile, but keeps going.

I've been scrolling to catch up and for the most part it seems like I might be. Tom's is looking great on his selection criteria.

It does seem like things have quieted down. Maybe IG or discord pealed off a bunch.

Forum is still a great way to document. How about on the Mexican lines. Anything exciting or interesting on that front? I put out an inquiry on the trichome stems a while back and nothing came back for land race Colombian or Thai for that haze trait.

A strong indicator that the early Mexican selections are coming through on the haze that I like.

Have you noticed it on any of your Mexican hunts?
