Alright, this is the first time ive heard of supertasters, but doing some research it makes sense, some people just have a genetic predisposition for having more sensitive palates. I think my woman is like that, she has a very sensitive sense of smell (isnt smell closely related to taste?) which is why i can never smoke herb or else she'll sense it and she doesnt really eat sweets (supertasters are predominately women and they often dont eat a lot of sweets).
Can you tell if a food has MSG, Pop? I wish i had the ability to recreate dish almost perfectly, i dont think my palate is that sensitive, unfortunately...
Never knew this was a thing but every day u learn something new i guess...
I love those pickled sliced carrots/cauliflower/jalapenos that some mexican restaurants serve, i call it mexican kimchi cause it's vinergary and spicy. I love a good tomatillo/green sauce too, mexican groceries around here will often sell carnitas (pork butt) and ill get some of their deli-made tomatillo sauce and some tortillas and with the carnitas it's fire. For $20 you can eat for 2-3 days.
Sounds like ur living the good life, Gojoe. I wish i could travel the world on a daily basis. So you basically live out of 2-3 suitcases? Ive got so much crap in my house, most of it not mine, that i wish i could strip it down to the bare necessities (clothes, toiletries, laptop and small electronics) and just live like that, moving from place to place. As long as you had internet you could basically live anywhere i guess, although times zones might be a pain to deal with...
