Went to IHOP last night...got the steak omelette. Very good. Lots of peppers and steak. Though, $15 is a bit much. Comes with stack of pancakes. Man was that shit good. 3 globs of butter on them. Mom got the Salisbury steak, was pretty good. Would've liked mozzarella sticks.
No Red Sox game on my birthday this next year (July 28)...might see the Braves on the 26th. Drove with my stoner pal from Charleston SC to Atlanta back in 1999...caught a Braves game. Looking at it now, very long trip. Luckily we didn't get busted for smoking weed. That was a felony down there...we were petrified. Dirt roads and shit.

we have a ton of chineese places close by but they are more family style joints where you order a few dishes family style
i want the two item plates, but most dont have that
there is a phillipino place that has a decent plate lunch but its pretty salty/ fatty

Hey poprocks! The hash browns came inside the omelette. We used to get Chinese like 1-2 times a week but stopped a few years ago. Crab Rangoon, my friend. And pan-fried dumplings! Crab Rangoon is super easy to make.just crab meat in a can( still expensive) cream cheese and wonton wrappers.fry in peanut oil.pretty damn similar to the restaurant.and screw tom brady.you can't win it all.he still has his millions.i don't know how much his wife's gonna get.she was rich before she met him

I knew Jalen hurts was a 2nd rd pick, didnt know cam akers went before him but plenty of teams missed out on hurts. To be fair, they were worried if his passing was nfl quality and his passing was quite rough his 1st 2 years in the league, this year he looks a lot better but he's still on track for less than 20 pass td's in 17 games. His value is in his rushing.

We've got the family style, sit down chinese restaurants but most of the chinese food places are the hold in the wall take out joints that only have 1 or 2 tables in the front. The take out joints usually have lunch and dinner specials, get an entree, fried rice (some offer noodles), egg roll, sometimes a drink. Get a decent amount of food for a decent price, this is what panda express is copying with their fast casual concept (like chipotle, everything is pre-cooked, just scoop and serve).

I have a feeling Hawk is a better cook than he lets on. I still remember that cheeseburger hawaiian bread bake thing he made that looked fire.

I tried making crab rangoon once last year but the damn wonton wrappers opened up in the oil and spilled their ingredients. Picking out burned creamed cheese/crab bits from the oil was depressing.

Ur right hawk if anything gisele has more money than Tom, if they fight over anything it'll be over custody. But supposedly it's going to be amicable, they both want each other to be in their kids' life.


This weekend we got early morning football (london game between jags and broncos – watching russell wilson play QB this season is almost as bad as watching justin fields), bears at cowboys at noon (boys are favored by 9.5!, u think they can pull off a shocker like they did vs the pats?), sunday afternoon niners at rams, sunday night packers at bills (bills favored by 10.5, rodgers said he thinks being such an underdog might be 'the best thing for us' – if they lose by 3 scores will he still think that?).

Had a deal on the app for 2 ghost pepper whoppers and 2 small fries for $10 at burger el rey, also known to you gringos as 'Burger King'.
Not bad, didnt come with lettuce tomato onion, had ghost pepper cheese, spicy queso, bacon and fried jalapenos on an orange bun (oooo, spooky). The bun was a little stale but everything else was ok, the ghost pepper cheese was actually pretty spicy for fast food.

you'll SEE a lot fewer police on those roads, but they might well be eyeballing folks closer. don't fly, stay on your side of the road. i've about quit burning one going down the road. so many things can go wrong.

For the crab Rangoon you wet your finger with water and when your ready to seal the wanton go around the edges when you seal them.that should help them stick if you didn't do that.

i might throw some diced green onions and seasonings in my cream cheese mix, and you can use that Kwabbbb stuff they use for sushi if you want to go cheap
/still adds texture and has a decent taste
but who taught you about wetting the ends, my mom does that and that is the secret to making em so they dont bust on you in the oil

i usually get a bento box or katsu don but this looked so good and it was cheap too, like 12-13$

Hippy, you ever watch that old show Dukes of Hazzard? With the General Lee, the old '69 Dodge charger with a 383hp V8? Makes me think driving on the backroads in the south being chased by the popo could actually be fun instead of a quick way to die. Did you know Nascar arose out of moonshiners evading police back in the day?
Nowadays i think the cops would fill you full of bullet holes or give you a severe beatdown if you made them chase you.

Yeah Hawk I think I tried that, sealing them with a little water, but i stuffed them too much i think and they came apart in the oil anyway. It was my first time (and so far only) time making them so live and learn i guess.
Dang Hawk did you used to work in a restaurant? Seems like you could do anything, from a short order cook to a fine steakhouse. Love the look of the sauce/au jus you put around the steaks. Nothing better than meat served in it's own juices/gravy. Grilling meat is always the best but pan searing it on the stovetop is pretty good also and much quicker then setting up a grill.
And I bet a lot of cooks/chefs drink a lot/do a lot of drugs. In fact i think restaurants/kitchens are notorious for that. Unfortunately half the time when Im cooking while drunk i just say F-it and take a bunch of shortcuts lol.

Dont think ive ever tried the BK jalapeno poppers, if they ever come back ill try them out if you say theyre good. Ive tried their mozz sticks, they're 'eh', the frozen ones from costco or sams are better. Also tried their cheesy tater tots, those are decent, cant go wrong with deep fried cheese and potatoes.

Yeah pop i think the fake crab meat is what they use in the cheap chinese takeout rangoon.
Hawk is right, that katsu and curry looks slammin', and the price is right too. A fancier place would charge $3-5 more per dish i think.

Wells, bears lost by 20 to the 'boys, i guess trading their best pass rusher, robert quinn, to the eagles last week affected them more than i thought. Fields had a decent game, 2tds passing 1 rushing, no turnovers, but they could not get a stop on the 'boys and also gave up a defensive TD. Ah well.
