New extraction technique? Rosin tech?

I'm definitely preferring the "pan liner" paper over conventional parchment; I use a straightener.

collection is easy if you use a second piece of paper and press/roll/pull motion...with stuff that's a little more on the shatterier side I've even been able to just slide the finger paper over the rosin on the pressing paper to collect once there's a small bit established on the finger paper...doesn't work as well with gooey stuff.

pressed 2.5g of XXX, got .6 of rosin so about 25% return...which is considerably better than the 16% or so return I just got on some nug run bho.

I almost spit my tea out when i read "shit is all over the place" It sticks to everything, collection is easier in a cool room, so it is not so sticky...

I almost spit MY tea out when I read "I didn't have time to pre-press anything, make pucks, snakes, worms, dragons". Lmao that was funny. You guys seen the thing with the pic of the cat with really big eyes and the text says "no I havnt seen your lsd, but have you seen the fucken dragons in the kitchen?!?!?" Oh my it's son funny to me!

So it looks like Breeder Steve is about ten steps ahead of all of us. Check out his ig feed to see what the future holds in auotomated rosin technology

I took some 4* hash i had and made some rosin so i can fill up my 6 compartment container my buddy gave me. I did all of this the one squeeze until it quit sizzling...

I'm not so sure of the terp preservation of that design. He won't come here to talk. I'm trying to establish convo with him.

The exit tray the rosin runs off of is extremely long for the product to be dripping off it like that, it must be heated. He says you can see vapor coming out of the machine. For flowers this is the best option for production but I'm not sure about kief. I still feel like as little of time as possible that the product is heated is better

The little toaster size unit is less then 500$ I'm still baffled as to how the product is just dripping away.

Breeder Steve is also working on some industrial Rosin Tech machines along with engineers atm.

Pictures and more info on his IG.

Gonna be fun to see if his Words are true, 1 ton + process per day to rosin, automated yihaa

On one of his posts he talks about dewaxing the rosin to make shatter. I'm getting the impression that the screw press is mascerating the flowers and causing waxes to leak but of course I'm not sure but he's not responding to my direct thingy (Ig noob I am). He also is saying the process leaves behind 30% of the active compounds still.

I think it's crucial to process all the product through in one day, the same day you press it, break it into gram patties, leave the paper stuck to each side of the patty (I discovered when I broke week old samples off the paper the underside still had mad smell) and get it into a baggy and in the freezer asap.

Lol Steve randomly responds to some of my comments on his posts but not others and after waiting patiently for an hour he has not gotten back to me on the direct thing.

Too bad, I really think we could all learn from eachother. I gotta get away from the internet. Damn politics, rosin, and Facebook are driving me mad atm!

Oh yay! He got back to me and wants to talk on the phone! Omg what an honor! He said he's just only recently been playing with them so maybe there's still lots of room for design improvement. Exciting!!!

After looking at a lot of those screw presses online, I'm starting to think "how did it work for herb at all"

Most say only 45% return on most oils from other products. The screw is going to get super gunk ed up super quick unless it is under constant 300F or so, atleast from what I've seen with viscosity of the Resins at different temps. With the twisting grinding press I feel like the material is going to get beat up a lot and color will be dark. I'm curious to see how Steve modifies them for the herb.

Has anyone else started looking at different ones online? The design just doesn't seem like what I want, any other opinions?

Hi,

GW figured out the same extraction principle (evaporation and condensation) and developped an automatic setup where you can condensate on the same run cannabinoids and terpenoids separately.

I believe you should focus on this setup for scale up.

Best.
