The Arizer is mostly for flowers. For rosin, I use Seego Vhit Glacier and it works great. Some people like a nail and torch but it's too much hassle and it burns it too hot IMO.

Great info in this thread, thanks guys for all of that. New run tastes great, med relief is helpful to me. Peeps on Facebook still giving me shit about mine being burnt..oh well that's FB. New pics, this run at 170-175..I'm going to drop temps to 160 for the next run and give my kief puck a little spray of h2O. If one was to spread this so-called burnt shit out, you can see the color is truly a clear light amber as these pics show. Cheers...

You can try pressing less time, but multiple presses. Are you using coffee filters? Also make sure you controller is set to Fahrenheit. 170°C is 338°F and on the higher end. Also, the color of the buds will influence the color of the rosin when pressing flowers, not so sure with kief.
Otherwise, FB comments are one step above YouTube comments. Looks good to me, I would dab it with ya!
whats a good cheap way to pack rosin up so people can get at it well ? can i just get some oven proof backing paper and cut it up to make small potions? for the ic 420 cup, i will need to separate a bunch of rosin into 0.3 samples any ideas appreciated to make this easier.
The only way I can make 1 gram samples is to freeze it then cut off pieces but you have to be fast. As soon as it starts to warm up it will become gooey again. You can use tooth picks to put dabs into whatever u want to use.

Depends on the consistency. I would say get some of those little plastic jars they have now with silicone inside, they're like $0.25 each when you buy a jar of them, prob much cheaper if you guys get a case. Then you can TARE them and use any tool to scoop in the Rosin.
I cut little 2x3 inch pieces of parchment paper, smash it flat and fold it up n put it in one of them little coin envelopes.
I jus did an experiment. I have this strain that is real sweet with sour notes, well everytime i pressed at my normal 190 f temp only the sweetness would come through in the rosin. So i lowered the temp down to 180, it had some hints of the sour/lemonyness, so i lowered it again to 175 and the sour notes were just as strong as in the original bud, if not stronger. Too bad it lowered my yield considerably, but interesting how differwnt the smell is of the different temps. Definitely something to consider when playing with headstash tho!

your first runs of keif, hash or headies will always look like this, unless youre already rockin the static tech. yes temps have to be way down as well, but bags microns and chlorophyll will make products dark.

the amount youre wanting to pack is going to make it difficult for people to sample, its so small, that if you use parchment you could run into issues, glass would be best but expensive, silicone containers dont let you see the product, that pfte sheet crap is like a fucking nightmare to get stuff off of , or it acts like a spring board if you snap it open and launches the sample.
really tough on tiny amounts under .5 makes it a pain

please dont recommend plastics for wax or oils. we have had people dab out of them melting them, scratching the plastic up into the dabs and the biggest is the complaining about how they cant get all the product out.

These were all pressed at 89 c aka 192 f. Different strains and amount of moisture in material plays huge roll in what comes out. Every strain will turn out a lil different in terp profile, color, and consistency, based on humidity n temp pressed. Its pretty crazy.

I put zero weight in anything they say.
Here more people understand colour is indicative of cannabinoid/trichome handling/cure/degradation/etc, and that dark product is not inherently inferior or "mouldy trim run".
I often wonder what these superstars do with sugar trim.

Anybody ever try pressing for longer times at 100-120 degrees? I'll give it a try next time and see what happens. Frenchy says he is doing it at those temps.

I've done as low as 140f with flowers and yield was shit but the rosin was very light colored, smelled awesome and was very easy to handle.
I could see going pretty low with Hash because all you need is for it to get viscous enough to start flowing through the screens.
All the variables that can be tweaked is pretty interesting. I've even noticed differences with pressing right after a pre-press vs letting the pucks sit overnight.
And I'm pretty much the same, I just rough trim my flowers and squish em. I've pressed bubble and trim bin sift and there wasnt a substantial enough difference to justify the extra work involved.
I don't have any. I leave it on the flower and press it. Actually started doing that back around 02, when I started 'taning.

its not only the materials conditions only, your environmental variables can have hand in your out comes as well
pressing in parchment will aid you in seeing which conditions are yielding more water. parchment tends to "wrinkle" if theres any water moisture present.
lots of the twisted and roped wax has lots of water in it that needs to be worked through and out of finished products
I am actively working towards that. It sometimes seems the best strains to extract have hilariously stupid to trim flower anyway.
Trimming and trimmers are for the birds.
