Did you all catch the story in the Denver post about the two teen that where steeling a guys cannabis plants from his back yard in Denver. The story made it sound like the back yard was filled with pot plants. The guy fired several rounds (not sure from what kind of fire arm), striking both youths and killing one. The guy has since been charged with murder and I'm sure there will be other charges to be added on against him.

yhea, i seen that - another way to demonize cannabis. if the thieves were shot and killed during an attempt to steal ANYTHING ELSE it probably would not have made the news....

Am I the only one that thinks it's just a shame that a young kid was killed during the incident? Regardless of the framing. I would hope that he be charged if the thieves (suspect at this point) were shot and/or killed while trying to steal his car in the drive-way or street as well. Don't shoot someone unless they pose an imminent threat.
Maybe had I been robbed in this way I would be a bit jaded, but I don't like the idea of shooting people (especially those fleeing), even when admittedly the cops are woefully inept but the right (legal) choice.
The grey area for me though, is that it's truly medicine for some people, and then you're fucking with their life.. I don't know, I guess I just wish it hadn't happened is all.
