NEW Colorado Growers Thread

I'd be more suspicious of any clones that were recently introduced.

This was the case for me, got clones when I first went med. The little bastards came with root aphids. I nuked the grow and went seeds only. I haven’t had an issue since.

I’ve informed the people I got clones from of my plight. One already got back saying they checked their shit & found nothing.

I’ve got an idea that they may have come in on drying plants from my OD harvest. I certainly cannot rule that out.

One thing is for sure.
If they came in on clones, I’ll know within a few months exactly where from.

Because they are so small. They get everywhere and are hard to kill/get rid of.

Probably the only way to really get rid of them is to eliminate plants & debris from the area for a period of time & then start fresh.

They're not known to infest anything other than cannabis. Whatever doesn't kill them makes them stronger & a lot of growers have tried very hard to kill them.

That is possible. I've harvested plants from an other room/area that had mites, and the mites on the plants (or some of the mites) made a migration into my veg area. There could be a faster rate of infection in the garden area from those drying plants then from cuttings.

I’m thinking of purchasing some swirski predator mites but I need to see if they’ll survive my environment.

There are already Hypoapsis miles, rove beetles & green lacewing indigenous to the area.

Any recommendations for OD predator applications for an exceptionally dry area would be appreciated.

I’d like to eliminate but I understand that’s nearly impossible. Especially out doors.

I tried using predator bugs years ago, but the only thing available back then didn't work for the dry environment and I saw no effect at all.

imo the best defense outdoors is just loads of beneficial micro organisms
more myco, more em1, more actinovate/mycostop, more repeated applications, starting at the end of LAST season thru winter and pre planting, more high quality composts from diverse sources, more biologicals in the soil and foliar fed will boost plant immunity and create a generally beneficial biological network around the plant

so if you are having issues with predators that directly prey upon your pests do more to simply boost biologicals that are cheaper and easier to maintain
good reminder is taht nolo-bait / semaspore for control of grasshoppers needs to be put down EARLY in the season like WAY WAY before your hoppers start to be an issue.

Recently found serious quanities of powdery mildew on a harvest in our "medical" grow at work, showed the head honcho and got told to not worry about it , and process it anyway , came into the rec grow today to harvest a couple rooms and the entire place reeked of fungicide, pesticides talked to the gro and they had sprayed literally right before i showed up, they were told we were not harvesting for another 7 days despite week 5 being the last week they are supposed to spray, prominant shop that tries to give off the small quality centric vibe , the pm to med patients ia the last straw. carry a serious list of genetics and constantly win "competitions" and "awards" if anyone wants to know a place to avoid....or should I put them on blast?

Medical or rec, I'd quit over both. Sorry to hear more garbage going on at dispensaries. Picked up a "House Pre-Roll" from the Doobie Sisters in Cortez. Straight up garbage. Picked up a gram of bud from the dispensary on the hill in Cortez. Bland garbage, though less harsh than most dispensary offerings. I just can't get over how they have almost zero smell to their jars, and almost every jar smells the same.

Someday the licensing will change and very small boutique shops can open profitably. This is what I'm looking forward to. lol

also- what the fuck is with dispensary grows? are they like ALLERGIC to preventative measures and ADDICTED to fucking up crops by spraying them with garbage late in their bloom?
it's truly TYPICAL and why i won't buy dispensary weed.... and when i do smoke/buy it im disappointed
